METHOD AND DEVICE IN A FLOOR STRUCTURE DRYING PROCESS
A method and device for holding a subsurface layer of an elevated flooring portion of a floor structure at a distance from a subfloor in a vicinity of an opening in the flooring portion during a process of drying the floor structure. According to the invention there is provided at least one rod having a substantially perpendicularly angled end. The rod is inserted below the subsurface layer through the opening and the angled end of the rod is attached to an edge of a surface layer in the opening of the flooring portion in a manner that the rod supports the subsurface layer at said distance from the subfloor when the flooring portion is elevated.
REPAIR KIT FOR TEXTURED BUILDING SURFACES, AND RELATED METHODS OF USE
The present disclosure is directed towards a kit for approximating texture of a building surface (e.g., a wall or ceiling). The kit can include a repair compound, a texture holding material, and optionally one or material to textured more pressing and shaping tools. The texture holding compound can be used to create a mold or stamp of surface texture in a non-damaged area of the building surface needing repair. The texture mold can be used to impart consistent surface texture to the repair compound as it dries, allowing a repaired area to at least approximate the texture of the area of the building surface surrounding the repaired area. The tool, if provided, can include a planar surface that can be used to conform the texture holding material to the surface texture, maintain contact between the texture mold and the repair compound to impart the mimicked texture, or both.
SNAP-TOGETHER STANDOFFS FOR RESTORING, REPAIRING, REINFORCING, PROTECTING, INSULATING AND/OR CLADDING STRUCTURES
A method covers at least a portion of a surface of an existing structure with a repair structure. The method comprises: providing a standoff, the standoff elongated in a longitudinal direction and operable from an open configuration to a closed configuration; while the standoff is in the open configuration, mounting the standoff to the existing structure, such that the standoff projects outwardly away from the surface of the existing structure; closing the standoff to the closed configuration, the closing of the standoff forming a standoff connector; and coupling a cladding panel to the standoff by engaging the panel with the standoff connector at a location spaced outwardly apart from the surface of the existing structure by a void.

Vertical joint system and associated surface covering system
A vertical joint system for substrates is formed with joints and which engaged by relative motion in a direction perpendicular to major surfaces and of the substrate. The joints are configured to enable relative rotation of up to 3 degrees while maintaining engagement of the joints. The joints and are further configured to form two locking planes one on each of the inner and outer most sides of the joint. Engagement about the locking planes is provided by transverse outward extending surfaces. At least one surface in each pair of engaging surfaces is smoothly curved. The joints and can be further arranged to provide a third locking plane parallel to and between the locking planes. The joints are disengaged by combination of a downward rotation of one joint relative the other then application of a downward force.
Post repair and reinforcement apparatus
A method of repairing and reinforcing a tubular fence post that is easy and safe to use, simple in design and inexpensive to manufacture, and is further portable, and highly efficient in repairing and reinforcing damaged posts, among other advantages. The method can include inserting a first stake having a plurality of vanes from a top open end of a tubular post, wherein the tubular post is damaged or compromised at a first location along its length. The method can further include positioning the first stake within the tubular post, such that the stake is positioned adjacent to the first location, thereby reinforcing the tubular post.
Load transfer arrangement for a multi-part pole having a flanged connection
An arrangement for making a field repair on a multi-part pole having upper and lower walls joined together by a flanged connection that is beginning to show signs of failure. The arrangement includes upper and lower C-channels secured to the upper and lower walls of the pole, respectively and a front plate secured to said upper and lower C-channels and spanning the flanged connection.
METHOD AND ARRANGEMENT FOR DRYING A WATER DAMAGED FLOOR STRUCTURE
A method and arrangement for drying a water damaged floor structure having a ventilated isolating layer below a concrete layer extending throughout an enclosed space, and the enclosed space having a tiled flooring over the concrete layer. An outlet opening is provided into the floor structure and to the isolating layer outside of an end of the enclosed space, the tiled flooring is heated by a heating source, and ambient air drawn by a suction source through the isolating layer and out of the outlet opening.
RETROFIT BRICK TIE
A retrofit brick tie comprises an elongate member having a first end and a second end. The first end includes a first aperture and a second aperture. Each of the first and second apertures is configured and arranged to receive a fastener. The second end includes a first elongated opening and a second elongated opening. Each of the first and second elongated openings is configured and arranged to receive an adhesive. A method of installing the retrofit brick tie comprises creating a bore in an interior surface of a brick structure, filling the bore with an adhesive, and inserting the second end into the bore. A stud is positioned proximate the interior surface, and a fastener is inserted through each of the first and second apertures and into the stud thereby securing the stud to the brick structure.
Curing System for Glass Repair
A curing device is positionable to a mount on a resin injector to cure the resin injected into a defect in glass. A housing of the curing device is removably positionable to a mounted position on the resin injector. When in the mounted position the curing device positions a light area from light emitters to an area surrounding the nozzle of the injector to provide curing of the injected resin. A GPS locator can ascertain a location, date, and time of use of the curing device and store such use information in electronic memory.
