Lifeguard observation station
A lifeguard observation station having a support structure for allowing a lifeguard to monitor a pool and swimmers or bathers therein. The lifeguard observation station includes a platform which is configured to accommodate the lifeguard. The platform member has a first edge, with at least a portion of the first edge of the platform member and a portion of the platform member adjacent the first edge being configured to extend to or beyond a pool edge of the pool. When positioned on the portion of the platform member adjacent the first edge, the lifeguard is positioned at the edge of the water or over the water in the pool to provide the lifeguard an unimpaired line-of-sight to the swimmers or bathers in the pool.
Device for prevention of ladder use
The invention, according to an embodiment, is a foldable, adjustable, and lockable cover for a plurality of rungs of a ladder. The device renders a ladder prohibitively difficult to climb. In an embodiment, the device is attached to a ladder using a lock, such as a bike lock or padlock, at a top portion of the device, rendering it difficult to for an unauthorized user to climb the ladder to cut any lock holding the device in place and/or remove the ladder.
3′-UTR sequences for stabilization of RNA
The present invention relates to stabilization of RNA, in particular mRNA, and an increase in mRNA translation. The present invention particularly relates to a modification of RNA, in particular in vitro-transcribed RNA, resulting in increased transcript stability and/or translation efficiency. According to the invention, it was demonstrated that certain sequences in the 3′-untranslated region (UTR) of an RNA molecule improve stability and translation efficiency.
Prefabricated, movable, photosensitive, solar landscape pavilion capable of being disassembled and constructed quickly
The disclosure relates to a prefabricated movable photosensitively adjustable solar bionic landscape pavilion capable of being disassembled and constructed quickly. The landscape pavilion comprises a support structure, a ceiling, a movable platform, a linkage system, a lighting system, and an energy system. The support structure is arranged at the center of the movable platform and forms large-area shelter space with the ceiling. The ceiling may rotate around the support structure in the height direction of the support structure, so as to be unfolded or folded. The movable platform is a base of the landscape pavilion, undertakes the support structure and the ceiling above the movable platform, and meanwhile, provides fixing space for the linkage system, the lighting system, and the energy system.
SOUNDPROOF ENCLOSURE
A method for building a soundproof enclosure (10) in the form of an independent structure with acoustic properties for isolating noise and vibration is disclosed. The soundproof enclosure (10) comprised a plurality of acoustical wall panels (12) interconnectable each to another at opposing sides for enclosing an interior space (41) of various sizes. The soundproof enclosure (10) further comprised one or more modular multilayer ceiling unit(s) (13) assembled onto the top edges of the acoustical wall panels (12) to form the enclosure. The ceiling unit (13) comprised a plurality of ceiling layers (17), each ceiling layer (17) being vertically spaced apart with one another by brackets to topographically form the multiple guided spaces necessary for air flow circulation within the enclosure (10). These guided spaces can also house multiple implements such as circulation fan, air filter and sound silencer. Sound insulating material layer(s) are interposed between the contacting surfaces of the ceiling unit (13) and the acoustical wall panels (12) and/or all around the surfaces to isolate and decouple the ceiling unit (13) from the acoustical wall panels (12) from vibrations. A sound barrier cover (16a or 79) is interposed at the openings (25) of the air passages (24) to further reduce the sound level emitted into and exiting from the enclosure. In addition, a construction method by elevating the heavy acoustical wall panels (12) and the ceiling units (13) until they fall into precise assembly location for ease of assembly of the components of the enclosure (10) and a floor base unit 11 that enabled the enclosure (10) to about easily in whole is also disclosed. Furthermore, a method to ease assembly of the enclosure (10) by use of removable heavy-duty handles (87) is disclosed.
SYSTEM FOR SELF-SUSTAINING MODULAR HOUSING
Systems are provided for self-sustaining modular housing. The system presented comprises construction materials which are readily manufactured, flat-packed, stored, shipped, and assembled on-site without skilled labor, to construct the system. The system further presents sustainable features for increasing the health and safety of life when people require modular housing, by presenting modular housing to fit a variety of needs, sizes, arrangements, and levels of durability and strength of construction. The present invention solves problems with the currently available systems of modular housing and housing for temporary disaster relief and other temporary uses.
Booth module for exhibition, booth for exhibition, and method for installing same
A booth module for exhibition includes: a frame; a main body dowel; a bolt detachably coupled to the main body dowel; and a cap dowel detachably coupled to the bolt, wherein the main body dowel has: a body having a bolt insertion hole formed therein; a button of which a part is inserted and installed in the body through a button installation hole formed in the body; and a spring installed inside the body and pushing one end of the button, and wherein the cap dowel has: a body having a bolt insertion hole formed therein; a button of which a part is inserted and installed in the body through a button installation hole formed in the body; and a spring installed inside the body and pushing one end of the button, wherein the buttons are provided with bolt through holes communicating with the bolt insertion holes.
Movable Wall Storage Device
The present invention relates to a movable wall storage device comprised of a front wall, a rear wall, a first side wall, a second side wall, a floor and a roof. The bottom edges of the roof are further comprised of a track that receives a roller located on the top edges of the first and second side walls. In this manner, the side walls can be slid along the track to expose the interior surface of the device. The device may also be comprised of a movable sub-floor that slides outwards from the interior space. Both the sub-floor and the sidewalls allow a user to easily place or remove large items into the interior space of the device, without having to step into the interior space or struggle to move the item through a door or other similar structure.
Device for Emergency Deployment of a Post Office
A portable post office contained within an intermodal container is disclosed. Such a structure may include a rack movably secured to a track mounted in the ceiling of said container via a trolley. The rack may be configured to hold a plurality of post office boxes, each box having a lockable door facing the center aisle of the container, and an open end facing the rear of the rack. The rack may be positioned against an interior side wall of the container and secured in place via a locking mechanism to prevent access to the open ends of the post office boxes. An individual may release the locking mechanism and move the rack into the center aisle along the track to access the open ends of the post office boxes. The rack member may then be moved back along the track and re-secured against the side wall.
