A shelter for an automobile has a pair of tracks positioned on opposing sides of the automobile and rest on a supporting surface such as the floor of a garage or car-port. A plurality of frames each having a u-shaped contour extend on opposing sides and over the automobile and are spaced apart from it. The terminal ends the frames are engaged with trucks which are in rolling engagement with the tracks. A canopy of a flexible material is attached over the frames and is movable between a folded state and an unfolded state when the trucks are moved within the tracks. The tracks have mutually orthogonal roller contact surfaces and the trucks have mutually orthogonal rollers positioned for rolling on the roller contact surfaces of said tracks. The canopy is able to be withdrawn from either of opposing sides and is further able to be drawn over the automobile to the supporting surface at both opposing sides.

Method and apparatus for covering an area is disclosed. The apparatus includes a plurality of bases located near a first side of the area and positioned substantially normal to ground, a plurality of flexible rods connected to the bases, and covering material secured to the flexible rods. The covering material crumples into a compact form when not spread out. A stabilizer may be used to provide stability and strength to the bases. The flexible rods are bent toward a second side of the area and attached to attachment mechanisms at the second side. The covering material is spread over the area along the now bent the flexible rods, thereby covering the area. The covering material may be fastened to one of the bases, to one of the attachment mechanisms, or other structures. Guy lines may connect the flexible rods to stable articles to provide additional stability.

System and method for finding dents on an automobile using a booth
11021885 · 2021-06-01 ·

An inflatable booth for use in detecting dents on an automobile. The inflatable booth generally forms an archway or tunnel and has an exterior surface and an interior surface. Lights are mounted on the exterior surface of the booth. The exterior surface of the booth is transparent or clear at least in the areas where the lights are positioned. The interior surface has a repeating geometric pattern. To detect dents, an automobile is driven into the booth and the lights are turned on. The geometric pattern on the interior surface of the booth is reflected off the surface of the automobile forming a reflected pattern. Dents or mars in the surface of the automobile cause distortions in the reflected pattern, thus making them easy to detect and fix. The booth can be easily inflated, deflated, and transported.

METHOD AND PRODUCT TO PREVENT FLOODING OF A MOTOR VEHICLE IN HIGH WATER
20210148132 · 2021-05-20 ·

An inflatable housing structure forms an airtight enclosure for a motor vehicle positioned inside the housing. This airtight enclosure prevents water from entering and thereby prevents the water from accessing the vehicle. The housing comprises sides, a top and floor made of flexible waterproof material such as plastic or vinyl. Air tubes attached to the surfaces of the housing, inflate to form and sustain a housing structure. The air tubes for supporting the housing structure can be outside or inside the structure when formed. These air tubes can also be embedded into the surfaces of the housing.

ROOF STRUCTURE AND CONSTRUCTION METHOD THEREOF

To provide a roof structure free from generation of a dead space, capable of reducing a load moment.

A roof structure including a roof (1) supported by a post (2) is a cantilever structure having the front end of the roof (1) formed in a free end and the rear end connected to the upper end of the post (2). The lower end of the post (2) is fixed in a concrete foundation (5). The post (2) is tilted with the upper end directed backward and with the lower end directed forward. A counter moment cm generated on the post (2) at the time of application of a load to the roof (1) reduces a load moment (M) generated by the load, thereby bringing the post (2) into an advantageous state in strength. The configuration of the post (2) with two post members and a vertical connecting member (10) connecting the post members facilitates the construction of the post (2) to be tilted at a desired angle.
