Climbing device for carrying out a movement relative to a tower and method for producing a tower
A climbing device for carrying out a movement relative to a tower, to a part-ring segment for a tower, to a tower, to a wind power installation, and to a method for producing a tower. A climbing device for carrying out a movement relative to a tower, comprising a main body having a longitudinal extent from a first end to a second end, wherein the second end in an operating state faces a foundation of a tower; at least one first climbing element having an extent between a first inner end and a first holding end; at least one second climbing element having an extent between a second inner end and a second holding end; wherein the first climbing element is disposed and configured for carrying out a first holding movement of the first holding end relative to the main body, by way of a first holding movement direction that is orthogonal to the longitudinal extent, and/or for carrying out a first climbing movement of the first holding end relative to the main body.
Movable Module for Hoisting Telescopic Towers and Method for Hoisting Telescopic Towers
The invention relates to a movable module and to a method of hoisting telescopic towers, preferably wind turbine towers, an ascending section of the tower being hoisted in relation to a supporting section of the tower immediately outside. The movable module preferably comprises at least one hydraulic jack; at least one hoisting cable pre-installed through the hydraulic jack and which remains connected to the jack throughout the performance of the method of hoisting the telescopic tower; and grouping means arranged at the free end of at least one hoisting cable. Advantageously, during hoisting, the movable module is temporarily fixed to the head of the supporting section, and the grouping means (4) are temporarily fixed to the base of the ascending section.
Systems and Method for Adjusting a Drilling Rig
A drilling rig system includes a drilling rig that includes a mast, a pair of hydraulic pistons coupled to a pair of front legs of the mast and configured to apply a first force to the mast, the first force acting in a direction opposing a force generated by a weight of the mast, a plurality of raising lines coupled to a crown block of the mast and to a pair of rear legs of the mast opposite the front legs and configured to apply a second force to the mast, the second force acting in a direction opposing the force generated by the weight of the mast, and a drawworks assembly coupled to the plurality of raising lines and configured to apply a force acting away from the crown block of the mast to at least one of the plurality of raising lines to generate the second force.
Assist cylinder for negative angle drilling mast
A mobile drilling machine may include a drilling mast having a mast frame, a movable drill motor assembly, and a pivot; a machine frame including front and back portions, an engine, a ground engaging assembly, and a coupling assembly including first and second side plates, where the mast is pivotably coupled at the pivot between the first and second side plates; at least one primary fluid cylinder coupled to the machine frame to apply a force to the mast at a position above the pivot along the mast to assist in moving the mast between a stowed position to a drilling position; and a secondary fluid cylinder coupled to the machine frame to apply a force to the mast at a position below the pivot along the mast to assist the at least one primary fluid cylinder when the mast is at a negative drilling angle.
TOWER HOIST, PLATFORM AND DAVIT SYSTEM
Hoists, platforms and davits are described as well as methods of securing same to telecommunication and other towers. The hoists, platforms and davits may be secured to the towers on a temporary basis using clamps. The clamps may include brackets and cables. The cables may be attached to the brackets, may wrap around the outer surface/perimeter of the tower pole/leg and may use tension to keep the bracket in place.
Load transfer arrangement
An arrangement for making a field repair on a multi-part pole having upper and lower walls joined together by a flanged connection, wherein the welds on the flanged connection are beginning to show signs of failure. The arrangement includes a bracket having a substantially “U”-shaped central portion which spans the flanged connection, and upper and lower elongated portions extending from the central portion, lying flush against and secured to the upper and lower walls of the pole, respectively.
UTILITY STRUCTURE WITH RETRACTABLE MAST
A tower configured to be positioned adjacent to or as a part of existing electrical power utility structures, such as transmission towers, distribution towers, substation structures, etc., includes an outer structure having a lower end configured to be anchored to the ground, and an opposite upper end. An inner structure is positioned within the outer structure and is connected to the outer structure. The inner structure has a lower end configured to be anchored to the ground and an opposite upper end. A mast is movable within the inner structure between a lowered position and a raised position. The mast supports various electronic equipment, such as cellular antenna arrays, remote radio unit (RRU) arrays, microwave antennas, imaging equipment, acoustic sensors, tectonic or motion sensors, thermal sensors, chemical sensors, and/or nuclear sensors.

Tool for driving an item into the ground
A tool for use with a hammer driver having a pin-accepting socket for driving a ground rod into the ground includes a body having two opposite side faces and at least one ground rod-accepting passageway extending between the two side faces. The tool also includes a guide pin which is joined to so as to extend from one of the side faces of the body and an elongated socket portion having first and second opposite ends and having a hollow interior which opens out of a first end of the socket portion. In addition, the socket portion is secured to the other side face of the body by way of the second end so that the first end extends away from the other side face of the body, and the guide pin and the elongated socket portion are axially-aligned with one another.
Construction Equipment and Methods
Construction equipment is provided that can include: a transport assembly operably supporting a platform, the platform having a leading edge opposing a rearward edge, the leading edge associated with a first direction of the transport assembly, and the rearward edge associated with a second direction of the transportation assembly; an operator cab above the platform and aligned closer to the leading edge than the rearward edge; an engine above the platform and aligned closer to the rearward edge than the leading edge; and a boom pivotably attached above the platform closer to the rearward edge than the leading edge, the boom being movable between a first position fully extended and a second position fully raised.
