Pole and method of manufacturing the pole
A pole including a plurality of truncated cones arranged in a linear array to form the pole, wherein each truncated cone receives an adjacent truncated cone within its interior. Each truncated cone in the pole is formed from a veneer by moving the longitudinal edges of the veneer towards each other. A method of manufacturing the pole and various uses of the pole are also provided.
ASSIST CYLINDER FOR NEGATIVE ANGLE DRILLING MAST
A mobile drilling machine may include a drilling mast having a mast frame, a movable drill motor assembly, and a pivot; a machine frame including front and back portions, an engine, a ground engaging assembly, and a coupling assembly including first and second side plates, where the mast is pivotably coupled at the pivot between the first and second side plates; at least one primary fluid cylinder coupled to the machine frame to apply a force to the mast at a position above the pivot along the mast to assist in moving the mast between a stowed position to a drilling position; and a secondary fluid cylinder coupled to the machine frame to apply a force to the mast at a position below the pivot along the mast to assist the at least one primary fluid cylinder when the mast is at a negative drilling angle.
ADJUSTABLE CAP FOR COLUMN FOUNDATION
A cap for a column-type foundation is adjustable with respect to its foundation. A top member has a support member for mating with and securing a leg of a structure and a central aperture for receiving an anchor rod of the column-type foundation. A sidewall casing extends downwardly from the top member and at least three positioning members engage the foundation. A seal is located on an inside of the sidewall casing near a bottom of the sidewall casing. The cap is filled with a settable material when connected to the foundation.
Tower for a wind power plant
A tower for a wind power plant, including a tower section having multiple structural support elements which, arranged horizontally next one another, form part of an outer wall of the tower. The wall elements that are arranged directly next to one another are rigidly interconnected via horizontal end sections of the wall elements and notor only in certain sectionsvia vertical edges of the wall elements. Expediently, the vertical edges of the wall elements, which are in each case arranged directly adjacent to one another, are arranged entirely or in certain sections at a distance from one another in the horizontal direction. A connection element, preferably a flange, is formed on each of the horizontal end sections for connecting the wall elements to a substrate, to other wall elements of a further tower section, to a tower head supporting a wind turbine, and/or to an adapter element.
Slingshot side saddle substructure
A land-based drilling rig includes a first substructure and a second substructure, the second substructure being positioned generally parallel to the first substructure. The land-based drilling rig also includes a drill rig floor coupled to the first and second substructures, the drill rig floor including a V-door. The side of the drill rig floor has the V-door defining a V-door side of the drill rig floor, where the V-door side of the drill rig floor is parallel to the first substructure. The first and second substructures pivotably support the drill rig floor. The land-based drilling rig also includes a mast, the mast mechanically coupled to one or more of the first substructure, the second substructure, and the drill rig floor. The mast is pivotably coupled to one or more of the first substructure, the second substructure, and the drill rig floor by a mast pivot point. The mast includes a V-door side, the V-door side of the mast parallel to the first or second substructure. In addition, the land-based drilling rig includes a mast hydraulic lift cylinder coupled to the mast at a mast lift point and a choke manifold, the choke manifold positioned on the drill rig floor.
Sustainable Perforated Flat-bar Connection System
A mechanical utility invention created in the interest of the construction industry. The Sustainable Flat-bar Connection System to be used with the member beam of the parent application, U.S. Pat. No. 15/703,993. The sustainable connection system is reusable, can be temporary or permanent, can be used on all sides of the beam at once, can join plural beams congruently, and replaces conventional counterparts; strong ties, metal straps, screws and nails. It creates economy in waste compared to it's conventional counterparts, in that they often become damaged and unusable after disconnection and are then discarded in landfills. It can be utilized to join bulky construction materials together in a lamination style, in a post and beam configuration, and to create an apex between two member beams. The disconnection utility from member beams without the loss of integrity or damage to the system or the member beam making them both largely sustainable.

Method of modular pole construction and modular pole assembly
A method of modular pole construction an elongate modular pole structure is disclosed. A first step of the method involves providing hollow tapered pole section modules, each module having a first open end and an opposed second open end. A cross-section of the second end is less than a cross-section of the first end. The modules are stacked to form an elongated modular pole structure of a selected length by mating the second end of a first module with the first end of a second module. The first and second modules may have different structural properties, such that poles having desired structural properties can be constructed by selectively combining modules having differing structural properties.
