Methods and apparatuses for onshore or offshore erecting an upstanding construction comprising longitudinal construction parts, comprising the steps of providing the longitudinal construction parts, transporting the longitudinal construction parts on a vehicle to an erection site, providing a crane for hoisting the longitudinal construction parts, using the crane for placing the respective longitudinal construction parts on top of each other on a construction base at the erection site, providing the construction base and/or the longitudinal construction parts with a support and guide facility for the crane, arranging that the crane is mountable on the support and guide facility, and mounting the crane on the support and guide facility of at least one of the construction base and the longitudinal construction parts that is placed on the construction base, so as to arrange that the crane is movable up and down along the support and guide facility of the construction.

Foundation with pedestal and ribs for towers
11939736 · 2024-03-26 · ·

A wind turbine foundation comprising a concrete support slab having a horizontal rebar grid therein, a concrete pedestal integral with the support slab and having vertical post tensioning elements therein and a plurality of concrete ribs on top of and integral with the support slab and integral with the pedestal, the ribs having rebar therein and extend outwardly from the pedestal, the pedestal, slab and ribs are connected to each other to form a monolithic foundation. The foundation design reduces the weight and volume of materials used, reduces cost, and improves heat dissipation conditions during construction by having a small ratio of concrete mass to surface area thus eliminating the risk of thermal cracking due to heat of hydration.

High-capacity mast on a drilling rig

A method of building and operating a land-based drilling rig with a high-capacity mast include providing a platform collapsed on a substructure over a proposed well drilling location and building the high-capacity mast in a horizontal condition by attaching a lower portion of the high-capacity mast to the platform. The high-capacity mast having an opening formed therein sized to accommodate four Range 2 pipes or three Range 3 pipes. The high-capacity mast may be raised from the horizontal condition to a vertical condition by pushing the side of the high-capacity mast to pivot the high-capacity mast about a pivot point on the platform. The platform may be raised from a collapsed condition to a raised condition over the substructure. Some implementations include dual racking boards on the high-capacity mast.

MULTI-PURPOSE BOLT UNIT FOR FIXING OBJECT TO DRILLED HOLE OF SOFT CONSTRUCTION STRUCTURE

A multi-purpose bolt unit for fixing an object to a drilled hole formed in a soft construction structure. The multi-purpose bolt unit including: a cylindrical body inserted into the drilled hole; a front end tip formed at a lower end of the cylindrical body and having a larger outer diameter than an outer diameter of the cylindrical body; an upper thread surface formed in an upper side of the cylindrical body while spaced apart from the front end tip; an elastic packing pipe inserted into the cylindrical body and placed on the front end tip; an upper washer inserted into the cylindrical body and placed on the elastic packing pipe; a compression nut screwed to the upper thread surface and pressurizing the upper washer so that the elastic packing pipe expands; and a fastening screw groove formed inside the cylindrical body and opened upward through the compression nut.

Modular Systems and Methods for Transporting Tower Assembly of Wind Turbine

A system and method are used for transporting a plurality of tower sections of a wind turbine on beds of transport devices, such as flat railcars. Supports affix at support locations on beds to accommodate at least one of the tower sections on each of the transport devices. The supports can include bed supports, such as tabs, extending from the beds, and can include cradle supports with slots that engage on the tabs. A circumferential dimension of a cradle is adjusted on each of the supports against which the tower section rests. Each of the tower sections is then supported with at least two of the supports by loading the tower sections on the transport devices. An end of each of the tower sections is then affixed to a flange on at least one of the supports on each of the transport devices.

FLEXIBLE CABLE GUIDE LINK ASSEMLBY FOR A HINGED TOWER

A tower includes a base section; a tower section hinged to the base section; a hinge assembly between the base section and the tower section, the hinge assembly defines a hinge axis about which the tower section hinges relative to the base section; and a flexible cable guide link assembly attached to the tower section such that the flexible cable guide link assembly extends across the hinge axis and into the base section.

APPARATUS FOR AND METHOD OF INSTALLING A WIND TURBINE

An apparatus is for performing parts of an operation to install a wind turbine, wherein the wind turbine has a tower, wherein the apparatus has a travelling car for travelling up and down along the tower for the wind turbine, and wherein the travelling car has a movable portion of a deck of the travelling car, wherein the movable portion of the deck is configured to carry an item to be installed as part of the wind turbine to a height for installation of the item and for moving the item substantially horizontally into a position for installation of the item when the travelling car is in a vertical position for installation of said item. Further is disclosed a method of installing at least a part of a wind turbine.

Expandable sustainable member beam and pattern
10501937 · 2019-12-10 ·

A process, mechanical method, and mechanical utility invention that creates an expandable sustainable member beam with utility in its' substantially different shape, mobility, multi-functional capabilities, and sustainability from its' conventional counter part. It can be utilized independently, as a utility stand, in plurality, sharing a base(s) and platform(s), as a step, or in conjunction with other expandable sustainable member beams from which to build. Some embodiments may replace a conventional wood or metal 248 stud in many applications. Additional utilities include, but not limited to: a post, concrete form, assistive device for mobility challenged individuals, independent balance, self-leveling, varying angular degree manipulation, elevational deployment and retraction capabilities. It can be substantially shortened for transport and deploy to varying longitudinal values to regain its utility upon user demand. Thereafter, it can be uninstalled and used again for like or different utilities, making it largely sustainable.

Underground post mounting apparatus
10501957 · 2019-12-10 ·

A post mounting apparatus for removably securing the lower end of a post in the ground. The post mounting apparatus comprises a base plate with an upwardly facing socket sized to receive the lower end of the post, the base plate and socket being buried in the ground with an upper end of the socket exposed above ground to receive the post. A cross-piece traversing the interior of the socket and spaced above the lower end of the socket supports the bottom of the post above the bottom of the socket. Internal vertical splines formed on the socket inner wall above the cross-piece engage the lower portion of the post with a snug but easily-removable fit.
