Apparatus and associated methods relate to a graveside communications device exchanging multimedia between a grave and a user's communications device remote from the grave, activating an energy emitter configured by the graveside device to physically interact with the grave responsive to the remote user's activity, and sending to the user's communication device a live indication of the interaction. In an illustrative example, the device at the grave may include a video camera. The user's device may be configured to exchange multimedia with the graveside device. In some examples, the energy emitter may be a laser pointer directed at the grave. The remote user's activity may be, for example, the user1 s voice captured by the user's smartphone modulating the laser pointer light. Various examples may advantageously provide graveside telepresence, permitting a user physical interaction with a grave, and providing live indication of the interaction to the user.

A headstone assembly suitable to be placed on a memorial includes a frame and a mounting assembly. The frame defines a cavity and has a base panel having a plurality of slots. The frame an inner surface defining a groove extending along and inner perimeter of the frame. The mounting assembly is arranged inside the cavity and is connected to the frame to facilitate an attachment of the base panel with the surface. The mounting assembly includes a bottom panel and a mounting panel extending inside the groove and attached to the frame and the bottom panel. The mounting assembly also includes a plurality of T-nuts extending through the mounting panel inside a plurality of the holes of the bottom panel. The T-nuts ate adapted to receive a plurality of mounting bolts extending from the surface to facilitate the attachment of the frame to the surface.

A digital display grave marker apparatus for seeing and hearing the deceased includes a marker body having a body front side, a body back side, a body left side, a body right side, a body top side, and a body bottom side. A display screen is coupled to the body front side. A CPU is coupled within the marker body and is in operational communication with the display screen. A wireless transceiver is coupled within the marker body and is in operational communication with the CPU to interface with personal electronic devices. A memory card is coupled within the marker body and is in operational communication with the CPU. A battery is coupled within the marker body and is in operational communication with the CPU. A solar panel is coupled to the marker body and is in operational communication with the battery.
Method and system of affixing a plaque to a solid surface
A method and system of affixing a plaque to a solid surface is provided. The method includes the steps of providing at least one opening in a face of the solid surface and inserting a plaque support into the at least one opening. The plaque support includes a body defining a passageway therethrough and having a first end and a second end. The first end has a flange portion. Further, at least one outer tab member extends radially outward toward the first end and at least one inner tab member extends radially inward toward the second end. The outer tab member engages the solid surface upon insertion of the plaque support into the at least one opening. The method and system further include providing the plaque with at least one installation fastener. The at least one installation fastener is inserted into the passageway of the plaque support, such that the at least one inner tab member engages the at least one installation fastener.
