A lock device includes a base attached to a lid, a knob having a grip portion movably supported on a front side of the base and an arm portion projecting rearward with respect to the grip portion, a slider slidably supported in a rear part of the base so as to move slidingly by being pushed by the arm portion in response to a movement of the knob, a first rod and a second rod slidably supported by a part of the base located in front of the slider in a vertically arranged manner so as to be engaged by and disengaged from a pair of corresponding engaging holes, and a power transmission mechanism provided between the slider and the first rod and the second rod so that the first rod and the second rod are slidingly moved in response to a movement of the slider.

PUSHBUTTON MECHANISMS FOR LOCKSETS

An exemplary pushbutton mechanism is configured for use with a lockset including a spindle and a plunger extending into the spindle, and generally includes a first component, a second component, and a cam interface. The first component is configured for rotational coupling with the plunger and for axial coupling with the spindle, and is rotatable between a locking orientation and an unlocking orientation. The second component is configured for rotational coupling with the spindle and for axial movement relative to the first component and the spindle, and is axially movable between a depressed position and a projected position. The cam interface is configured to correlate rotation of the first component with axial displacement of the second component.

Latching assemblies for door-in-door refrigerator appliances

A latching assembly for a refrigerator appliance having inner and outer doors includes a catch and a latch. The latch is operable to engage the catch. As a result of such engagement, the inner and outer doors are latched together when the latch is engaged with the catch. The latching assembly also includes a trigger connected to the latch. The trigger is movable within a plane perpendicular to the vertical direction from a first position to a secondary position. The latch moves within the plane perpendicular to the vertical direction when the trigger moves to the secondary position. As a result, the latch is disengaged from the catch by moving the trigger within the plane perpendicular to the vertical direction to the secondary position.

A Remotely Operable Push Button Lock Mechanism
20220145673 · 2022-05-12 · ·

A push button lock mechanism is remotely and manually operable. The mechanism has a lock cylinder that is rotatable when a key is located therein; an actuator that is connected to the lock cylinder to be rotated thereby and that is biased toward an outwards position; a locking gear formed to be rotated by the actuator between a first position in which the actuator is prevented from passing therethrough and a second position in which the actuator can pass therethrough from the outwards position to an inwards position; a push button for linearly moving the actuator through the locking gear from the outwards position to the inwards position; and a remotely operable motor that acts to rotate the locking gear between the first position and the second position when operated. The motor can be remotely operated by a radio frequency fob or any other passive keyless operating device.

LOCKING DEVICE FOR A BARN DOOR
20230258031 · 2023-08-17 ·

A locking device for a barn door mounted in the wall adjacent a side edge of the door when in the closed position. The lock includes an outer cylinder that passes through the wall. The ends of the outer cylinder are mounted to each side of the wall. An inner cylinder is provided that is axially and slidably disposed within the outer cylinder and has a length greater than the length of the outer cylinder. When so positioned, one end of the inner cylinder can extend from the surface of the wall to prevent the barn from sliding to an open position by contacting the side edge of the barn door. When slid in the opposite direction the inner cylinder disengages from contacting the side edge of the barn door to enable the barn door to slide to the open position. Optionally, a locking mechanism is provided to lock the barn door in the closed position.

ELECTRONIC LOCK
20220136285 · 2022-05-05 · ·

An electronic lock for securing a door or access panel. The electronic lock includes a housing and a plunger that is moveably mounted to the housing between a latched position of the electronic lock and an unlatched position of the electronic lock. A rotator is rotatably mounted to the housing between an unlocked position and a locked position. In the locked position of the rotator, the plunger is prevented from moving to the unlatched position, and, in the unlocked position of the rotator, the plunger is permitted to move to the unlatched position. A motor has an output shaft that is configured to rotate the rotator between the locked position and the unlocked position. A spring is configured to resist movement of the output shaft between the locked position and the unlocked position.

DUAL FUNCTION HANDLE SET
20220010595 · 2022-01-13 ·

A handle set includes a main body that has a handle and a faceplate positioned around the handle, the faceplate having a toggle aperture. The handle set includes a locking mechanism that includes a locking piece that has a locking notch. The locking mechanism includes a toggle positioned within a toggle housing, the toggle being movable relative to the toggle housing. The toggle includes a toggle tail configured to be received into the locking notch. The toggle includes a toggle head removably attached to the toggle tail, the toggle head being at least one of a privacy attachment button and a passage attachment button. At least a portion of the privacy attachment button extends from the toggle aperture and beyond the faceplate. The passage attachment button interfaces with the toggle housing to prevent relative movement between the passage attachment button and the toggle housing.

Positionally Variable Foot-Operated Door Opener and Closer
20210348423 · 2021-11-11 ·

A foot-operated door opening/closing/latching device is disclosed, including at least a single piece of material having a base member and an extension member; wherein the base member is configured to be attachable to a bottom surface of a door; wherein the extension member, which does not protrude below the bottom surface of the door, includes at least a first portion arcing upwardly, a second portion arcing downwardly, and a third portion arcing upwardly, configured to be engaged by a top, bottom or a side portion of a user's shoe such that when at least one of a downward, upward or sideward force is applied by said portion of said shoe, respectively, to the extension member, the door pulls open or closed; and the door opener/closer/latch is attachable to a door in such a manner that the door opener/closer/latch traverses one or more tracks or grooves formed in the base member.
