There is provided a device to avoid engaging surfaces of objects through human contact that can be contaminated with pathogens or other unwanted substances. The device can be made from an antimicrobial material and can include an inlaid portion to aid in creating a non-slip surface. A primary use of the device is in opening all types of doors and has particular utility in opening door knobs of varying resistance and being used with doors having varying mass. The shape, configuration and contouring of the device also enables the device to be used to open drawers, press keys/buttons or touchscreens, carry items with handles (e.g., bags, backpacks), or any other manipulation of an object that is capable of interacting with a hook-like element as described in greater detail below.

Door lock with reinforced fireproof function

A door lock with a reinforced fireproof effect includes a lock body mounted on a door and inner and outer operating units mounted to two sides of the door, respectively. The lock body includes inner and outer chassis made of ferrous material or stainless steel having a melting point higher than 1300° C. Inner and outer fixing members coupled with the inner and outer chassis are also made of ferrous material or stainless steel. Thus, these components of the door lock are less likely to melt during a fire, reducing the spreading speed of the fire.

FOOT-OPERATED SYSTEMS AND DEVICES FOR HANDLESS OPERATION OF A DOOR

Systems, devices, and methods are provided herein for the handless operation of a door. Illustrative examples of a system disclosed herein include a user interaction assembly configured to be disposed at a bottom edge of the door, the user interaction assembly configured to generate a signal, a push-lock assembly configured to attach to a door handle external to a mounting rose of the door handle, and the push-lock assembly configured to receive the signal from the user interaction assembly and translate the signal into rotational movement configured to operate the door handle.

Arm-receiving door handle assembly, sliding lock assembly, and system thereof

An arm-receiving door handle and sliding lock system, including an arm-receiving door handle assembly, including an interior plate removably connected to at least a portion of an inner surface of a door to receive a limb of a user thereon, and an exterior plate removably connected to at least a portion of an exterior surface of the door, and a sliding lock assembly, including a knob assembly removably connected to the interior plate to move laterally from unlocked in a first position to at least partially locked in a second position, and from locked in the second position to at least partially unlocked in the first position, a carrier connected to the knob assembly, and a bolt removably connected within at least a portion of the carrier to move from retracted within the carrier to at least partially extended from the carrier in response to moving the knob assembly toward the second position, and move from extended to at least partially retracted within the carrier in response to moving the knob assembly toward the first position.

ELECTROMECHANICAL LOCK CYLINDER
20230349195 · 2023-11-02 ·

An electromechanical lock cylinder. The cylinder includes a core front end, a core back end coupled with a tailpiece, an actuator mechanism, switchable between a locked state and an unlocked state, to keep the core front end uncoupled with the core back end in the locked state, to couple the core front end with the core back end in the unlocked state to enable the core front end to rotate the core back end from a locked rear position to an unlocked rear position, and to return to keep the core front end uncoupled with the core back end in the locked state; an enforced coupling to couple the core front end with the core back end as the core front end starts to rotate the core back end away from the locked rear position in the unlocked state, and decouple the core front end from the core back end as the core back end returns to the locked rear position; an operation knob, coupled with the core front end, to enable a user to rotate the operation knob from an initial knob position so that the core front end rotates the core back end from the locked rear position to the unlocked rear position in the unlocked state; and a return force mechanism to rotate the operation knob further after the user first has rotated the operation knob away from the initial knob position and then released the operation knob, whereby the core back end is rotated to the locked rear position by the core front end due to the coupled enforced coupling.
