An insulated door lock assembly including a base member with an aperture for the cylinder of a lock. The base member is configured to be mounted to a door around a hole for the door lock. The inner volume of the base member can be filled with an insulating material. A cover member can be coupled to the base member through a hinge joint. The cover member can be configured to switch between an open state and a closed state. A keyway or a thumb turn of the door lock can be accessible in the open state and the keyway or the thumb turn is covered by the cover member in the closed state. An O-ring can also be provided around a periphery of the base member for sealably engaging the cover member to the base member.

Replaceable antimicrobial system

A replaceable antimicrobial system for providing a replaceable antimicrobial surface to inhibit and reduce microorganism growth on a surface. The replaceable antimicrobial system generally includes providing an antimicrobial cover, positioning the antimicrobial cover upon an object such as a handle, and securing the antimicrobial cover to the object or removably affixing the antimicrobial cover with adhesive. The securing of the antimicrobial cover is accomplished by heat shrinking the antimicrobial cover upon the object. Alternatively, the securing of the antimicrobial cover is accomplished by an adhesive backing attached to the antimicrobial cover. After a period of time of usage where the antimicrobial cover loses its effectiveness to inhibit microorganisms, the antimicrobial cover is removed and a replaced with a new antimicrobial cover.

The grip enhancing door knob cover covers the knob of a door and may facilitate turning the door knob to open the door. A convex front cover section and convex rear cover section may be coupled to a cylindrical center cover section to form a shell that surrounds the door knob. A front aperture may provide access to the front of the door knob to insert a key or manually move a locking device on the knob. A rear aperture provides an opening for the shank of the door knob to pass through. The grip enhancing door knob cover may be composed of natural or synthetic rubber, silicone rubber, or other polymers. In some embodiment, the inside wall of the center cover section may comprise texturing to enhance the frictional grip of the shell against the knob.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SECURE LOCK SYSTEMS WITH REDUNDANT ACCESS CONTROL
20190108703 · 2019-04-11 ·

Systems and methods for providing secure locks having redundant access channels are disclosed. In some embodiments of the invention, the smart lock has a hardware processor, a power source, a cylinder, a button that forms a rose knob, and a rose protector. The rose knob and rose protector protect and conceal the hardware processor, the power source, and the cylinder. The rose protector forms an annular groove that slidably interlocks with the rose knob. The rose knob has a plurality of redundant access channels for receiving authentication information. The redundant access channels may include a biometric scanner for receiving biometric information, a passcode keypad for entering a token, or a wireless transceiver for receiving a token from a mobile device and transmitting a response to the mobile device. When the user cannot open the lock through the first redundant access channel, the smart lock is configured to allow access through a second access channel.

Electro-mechanical locks with bezel turning function

The present disclosure provides an electro-mechanical lock assembly which illustratively includes a motor, a gear, a driver, a torque member, a housing, and a bezel. The motor is operable upon selective input. The motor is also coupled to the driver to engage both the gear and the housing when the motor is in operation. The bezel is attached to the gear such that when the driver is engaged with both the gear and the housing, manual rotation of the bezel will rotate the housing. The housing is attached to the torque member which is configured to move a latch such that when the bezel rotates the latch is moved.
