09574371 · 2017-02-21 · ·

Four embodiments of a novel display assembly as a door handle are described. The first embodiment is used with a cable conduit and associated electrical wire, and comprises an outrigger and a handle having a display accessory. The second embodiment does not require an electrical wire. Like the first embodiment, the second embodiment comprises an outrigger and a handle having a display accessory. The third embodiment uses an inset handle for opening and a flat surface for a sticker advertisement with no cover. The fourth embodiment is a display case door handle accessory with a recessed panel for holding advertising material. Finally, a method is described for performing a retrofit install of the first and second embodiments.

A lock apparatus according to certain embodiments has a first state and a second state, and generally includes a handle and a status indicator. The handle includes a display area formed in a front face of the handle, and the display area comprises at least a majority of the front face. The status indicator is configured to display each of a plurality of indicia in the display area. The status indicator is configured to display a first indicium in the display area when the lock apparatus is in the first state, and is configured to display a second indicium in the display area when the lock apparatus is in the second state.

INDICATOR LEVER
20250314099 · 2025-10-09 ·

An indicator assembly for a lock assembly in which rotation of an indicator barrel having different indicator symbols is facilitated via magnetic forces. Upon locking of the lock assembly, such as via a push button assembly, an actuator is linearly displaced in a first direction, causing an activation pin that is connected to the actuator to push an activation carrier in the first direction. The activation carrier can also be rotated so that a first pole of a first magnet that is coupled to the activation carrier is linearly and rotably brought into closer proximity to a similar first pole of a second magnet that is coupled to the indicator barrel. Such displacement of the first magnet can cause a repelling force to be provided between the first and second magnets that facilitates the rotation of the indicator barrel about the lever from a first position to a second position.

LOCKSET INDICATOR ASSEMBLIES

An exemplary indicator assembly is configured for use with a lockset, and generally includes a backplate, a transfer link, and an indicator. The backplate has a first side and an opposite second side, and includes an opening. The transfer link is mounted for rotation relative to the backplate. The transfer link includes an input portion positioned on the first side of the backplate, an actuating portion positioned on the second side of the backplate, and an arm extending through the opening. The input portion is configured to drive the transfer link from a first transfer link position to a second transfer link position in response to the lockset transitioning from the first state to the second state. The indicator is positioned on the second side of the backplate and engaged with the actuating portion such that the indicator selectively displays a first indicium relating to the first state.

LOCKSET INDICATOR ASSEMBLIES

An exemplary indicator assembly is configured for use with a lockset, and generally includes an indicator, an indicator lever, an actuating lever, and a slider. The indicator lever has a first indicator lever position in which the indicator lever causes the indicator to display a first indicium, and a second indicator lever position in which the indicator does not display the first indicium. The actuating lever is operable to cause an indicator lever movement as the actuating lever performs an actuating lever movement. The slider is operable to cause the actuating lever movement as the slider moves between a first slider position and a second slider position. The slider is configured to move from the first slider position to the second slider position in response to an actuating input provided by the lockset.

A knob for showcasing one of a plurality of interchangeable display components is disclosed. The knob provides a base having a first surface and a second surface separated by a peripheral base attachment surface. The knob has a collar with a hollow body extending from a proximal edge, defining a proximal opening, to a distal edge, defining a distal opening. The collar has a collar attachment surface that is removably attachable to the peripheral base attachment surface to move between a disengaged condition to an engaged condition with the first surface adjacent to the distal edge of the hollow body. A stop flange projecting radially inward from the distal edge to define a window within the distal opening. One of the plurality interchangeable display components dimensioned to slide through the proximal opening and be sandwiched between the first surface and the stop flange in the engaged condition.
