A lock, including: a retractable knob; and a knob release mechanism for retaining the retractable knob in a retracted position, wherein the knob release mechanism includes a damper with a gear that is slidably received within a set of grooves located in the retractable knob, and wherein the gear prevents rotation of the retractable knob unless it is in an extended position.

Cam lock with a closure element which can be fixed to a locking shaft at different heights

A casement lock (1) includes an actuation lug (2); a locking shaft (3) coupled to the actuation lug (2) and having two opposite flattened axial regions (5) at a free end (4) of the locking shaft and a circumferential profiling (6) between the flattened axial regions (5); and a cage (8) supporting a closure element (7) configured to be placed with an opening (9) on the free end (4) of the locking shaft (3) and fixed to the locking shaft (3). A locking element (14) is provided on the cage (8), which, in a locking position, secures the cage (8) on the locking shaft (3) against tilting. In a release position of the locking element (14), the cage (8) can be tilted relative to the locking shaft (3) and is moveable in an axial direction along the locking shaft (3) only in a state when tilted relative to the locking shaft (3).

There is disclosed a Service Vehicle storage compartment door alarm system. In an embodiment, the system comprises an alarm pin switch bracket having one or more apertures for mounting the alarm pin switch bracket to a vehicle storage compartment door latch system using existing mounting fasteners and an alarm pin switch mounted to the alarm pin switch bracket, the alarm pin switch adapted to detect movement of the vehicle storage compartment door handle to trigger an alarm signal, the alarm pin switch including a connection point for connecting a signal wire. A plurality of alarm pin switch brackets mounted to a plurality of vehicle storage compartment door latch systems may all be connected via signal wires to a central alarm system for activating an alarm upon detection of movement of any one of the vehicle storage compartment door handles.

Handle assembly

The invention is useful for upgrading a mechanical handle assembly to an electronic handle assembly without the need to remove the handle from the door or the like to which the handle is attached. The handle assembly (100) is of the type which is mountable to a surface of a door. Handle (18) is moveable between a locked position and an unlocked position. A first housing useful for a mechanical locking handle is replaceable by a second housing (80) during conversion of the handle assembly from a mechanical version to an electronic version. Handle (18) is received at least partially within the housing (80) and is substantially within housing (80) in the locked position. In the unlocked position, handle (18) protrudes from the housing (80) and can be cause to swing sideways. Opening of the door when handle (18) is in the locked position is prevented by a lock (24). When converted to the electronic version, lock (24) may remain but is capable of being unlocked by electronic actuation means (44, 78, 82).

LED indicator such as LED ring for a mechatronic lock system

An LED ring or light guide for a mechanical or mechatronic closure system that includes an actuating means, such as socket wrench receptacle or swivel handle, which is rotatably supported in a housing or tray. The LED ring or light guide also includes a retaining nut or bearing piece that can be screwed on with the housing or with the tray with the intermediary of a thin wall such as door panel of a sheet-metal cabinet or sheet-metal housing. A light ring surrounds a flange of the housing or of the tray, and a flexible foil is arranged between light ring and thin wall. The flexible foil carries light emitting diodes (LEDs) and relays the light thereof. A closure indicator integrated in the actuating means is achieved in this way.
