A MECHANISM FOR A LOCKSET AND A METHOD FOR CONFIGURING A LOCKSET'S FUNCTION

Disclosed herein is a mechanism (30) for a lockset (10). The mechanism (30) comprises a latchbolt retractor (22) that is rotationally actuatable. The mechanism (30) comprises a rotationally mounted handle coupler (36). The rotationally mounted handle coupler (36) is rotatable by a rotation of a handle (12) when coupled thereto and comprises an adaptor receiver (46) for receiving any one of a plurality of adaptors (48,52,54). The rotationally mounted handle coupler is configured to engage with at least one of the plurality of adaptors (48,52), but not all of the plurality of adaptors (54), for transmission of the rotation of the handle (12) to a latchbolt retractor actuator (22).

A door lock for a handle, comprises a housing, a rotatable connector inside the housing, a first elastic element and a second elastic element both arranged inside the housing. The rotatable connector is interacted with the handle. The first elastic element is at least configured to provide a restoring force for the handle to return to its origin position when the handle is rotated upward to lock the door, and the second elastic element is configured to provide a restoring force for the handle to return to its origin position when the handle is rotated downward to unlock and open the door, as well as to provide enough resistance to remain handle at its origin position when the handle is released. The door lock is effort-saving for the users to rotate the handle upward, and also adapted for various handles having different weights, to be remained at the origin position when the handle is released.

INTERCHANGEABLE HANDLE LOCKSET

A handle set including a chassis and a handle mounted on the chassis. The handle includes a shank having a load bearing section, a primary actuating section, and a secondary actuating section. The chassis includes a housing, a support spindle, a primary actuator, and a secondary actuator. The support spindle is longitudinally coupled with the load bearing section, and the primary actuator is rotationally coupled with the primary actuating section of the handle. The handle set has a first configuration in which the secondary actuating section is engaged with the secondary actuator, and a second configuration in which the secondary actuating section is disengaged from the secondary actuator.

DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY WITH WAGGLE REDUCTION

A door lock system may include an outer spindle operatively connected to a disc with a larger diameter than a diameter of the outer spindle. The disc may include an opening that slidingly receives a lock spindle along a lock axis configured to engage a lock body. The lock spindle and the spindle opening may have complementary shapes and sizes such that the lock spindle is rotationally coupled to the disc about the center axis. Torque may be transmitted from a handle to the disc and from the disc to the lock spindle via the opening.

VARIABLE SPRING RATE CHASSIS

An apparatus including a chassis assembly having a housing, a spindle rotatably mounted to the housing, a spring collar rotatably mounted to the housing, a first biasing element rotationally urging the spindle toward a spindle home position, and a second biasing element rotationally urging the spring collar toward a spring collar home position. The apparatus may further include a handle mounted on the chassis such that the chassis biases the handle to a handle home position with a return torque. The handle is engaged with the spindle such that the first biasing element contributes to the return torque. In certain embodiments, the handle may further be engaged with the spring collar such that the second biasing element contributes to the return torque.

Handle catch assemblies

An exemplary catch assembly is configured for installation into a spindle, and generally includes a holder, a first catch, a second catch, and a bias mechanism. The holder is configured for mounting within the spindle. The first catch is mounted for movement relative to the holder between a first projected position and a first depressed position. The second catch is mounted for movement relative to the holder between a second projected position and a second depressed position. The bias mechanism biases the first catch toward the first projected position and biasing the second catch toward the second projected position.

A door lock (10) includes a driving device (30) having an outer spindle (36) and an outer handle (38) mounted to the outer spindle (36). A mounting member (56) is rotatably mounted in a compartment (46) of the outer handle (38). A positioning member (72) is movably received in a groove (54) of the outer handle (38). When a lock core (74) disengages from the mounting member (56), the mounting member (56) cannot move along a longitudinal axis but can pivot about a pivotal axis relative to the outer handle (38) to change a positional relationship between first and second holes (64, 66) of the mounting member (56). After the lock core (74) engages with the mounting member (56), the mounting member (56) cannot pivot about the pivotal axis relative to the outer handle (38).
