Lock with movable knob
A lock, including: a retractable knob; and a knob release mechanism for retaining the retractable knob in a retracted position, wherein the knob release mechanism includes a damper with a gear that is slidably received within a set of grooves located in the retractable knob, and wherein the gear prevents rotation of the retractable knob unless it is in an extended position.
REMOTE POWER SUPPLY, POSITION SENSOR AND WIRELESS COMMUNICATION DEVICE FOR AN EXTENDABLE DOOR HANDLE
A device for remotely supplying power, through magnetic induction, to a secondary module able to move in relation to a primary module along a predetermined path. An advantageous arrangement of the primary coils of the primary module and of a secondary coil of the secondary module furthermore allows the device to estimate the position of the secondary module. The primary coils are arranged such that: the primary coils form respective magnetic fields oriented in the same direction along their respective axes, during the movement, the inductive coupling between the first primary coil and the secondary coil evolves in the opposite way to the inductive coupling between the second primary coil and the secondary coil, the total inductive coupling existing between the primary coils and the secondary coil is substantially constant regardless of the position of the secondary coil.
Pressing type latch device
A pressing type latch device includes a seat, a pivotal seat mounted in the seat, and a handle having a grasping portion pivotably connected to two eccentric locations of the pivotal seat, such that a greater operational height can be formed when the handle is lifted. When the latch device is in one of a plurality of retainable open positions or a retainable closed position, the grasping portion of the handle can be moved to a position to lift the pivotal seat, such that the grasping portion of the handle lies flush with the pivotal seat. On the other hand, when the grasping portion of the handle is lifted to move the pivotal seat downward, the handle and the pivotal seat can rotate freely. Since the latch device includes a closed position and a plurality of open positions, the latch device can be installed and used more easily.
Handle assembly
A flush-mounted handle assembly for a cargo door having an exterior rotatable handle having a bumper assembly and an interior rotatable handle, a housing having a cavity for receipt of the exterior rotatable handle and an actuator positioned between the interior rotatable handle and housing. The housing having a skid plate positioned within the cavity for receipt of the bumper when the exterior rotatable handle is rotated and the housing also having a shaft removably connected to the housing by a nut for receipt of the actuator.
Retractable handle arrangement
A retractable handle arrangement comprising a handle comprising a first end and a second end and being movable between stowed and deployed positions; the handle being pivotally mounted about a handle pivot axis disposed between the first and second ends; an operating member extending from the handle; a first lever arm for moving the handle from the stowed position to the deployed position; a second lever arm for operating a release mechanism in response to movement of the handle from the deployed position to an operative position; and a drive mechanism; wherein the drive mechanism is coupled to the first lever arm and operable, in use, to cause the first lever arm to operatively engage with the operating member to move the handle from the stowed position to the deployed position; and wherein the operating member is arranged to operatively engage with the second lever arm when the handle is moved from the deployed position to an operative position.
Handles with retracted and extended positions
Examples described herein include handles with extended and retracted positions. In some examples, a handle comprises a housing and a knob. The knob may have a first surface and a circumferential sidewall. The knob may have a retracted position in the housing and an extended position. In the extended position, the circumferential sidewall protrudes from the housing and the knob is rotatable between a first position and a second position.
Handle for Door Closing
Improvements handle for door closing is disclosed. The handle is rotatable from an outer housing that both protects the handle and provides a structural frame for mounting the handle to a pre-existing door. A typical installation is to place the handle closer to the hinge side of the door. This allows a user to require a shorter reach and pull to the door. Because opening a door for a wheelchair requires the door to almost be completely opened. The handle also has a rotation stop that prevents the handle from being rotated out of the housing more than 90 degrees. A retention and extending mechanism both holds the handle within the housing and slightly opens the handle for a user to grasp. The housing can be surface mount or flush mount. The handle can allow for weight bearing support of a user.
ROTATING DOOR HANDLE FOR EASE OF USE
A handle operably coupled to rotating door handle assembly is disclosed. The handle may include a first rotatable member configured to engage a door latch mechanism. The handle may further include a second member mechanically engaged with the first member and the second member may be extended a length between a non-extended position and an extended position. A handle cavity may be defined within at least a portion of the second member and a bar may be enclosed within the handle cavity. Furthermore, an extension mechanism may be incorporated with the bar and the second member and configured to extend the bar from the cavity when the second member is in the extended position and retract the bar within the cavity when the second member is in the non-extended position.
Locking device for window or door and method of operating thereof
A locking device for a window or a door, wherein the window or the door has a sash slidable in a horizontal direction within a frame. When a user turns on a switch to control a block to move from the first position to the second position, the block protrudes out of a vertical surface of the sash, thereby driving a linkage member to disengage from the frame. At this time, the user could hold and push the block in the horizontal direction to move the sash between a third position and a fourth position. When the sash is pushed back to the third position, the block could be controlled to move back to the first position, namely back to a mounting groove, thereby moving the linkage member to a position where the linkage member is engaged with the frame. A method of operating thereof is provided as well.
