ELECTRONIC DEADBOLT
20170122007 · 2017-05-04 ·

An electronic deadbolt operator for a deadbolt lockset comprises an electronic actuator that rotates a powered driver and a follower that has a lost motion connection with the powered driver, enabling the follower to rotate with the powered driver when the follower is inside its range of travel, and enabling the powered driver to rotate freely of the follower after the follower is pushed to a travel limit. The follower is mounted to a connector driver, which drives the deadbolt, to toggle between two oppositely-disposed off-center positions relative to the connector driver. In one off-center position, only clockwise rotation of the powered driver is operative to rotate the follower. In the opposite position, only counterclockwise rotation of the powered driver is operative to rotate the follower. The interaction between the powered driver, the follower, and stops causes the follower to toggle to an opposite position after hitting a stop.

DEAD-LATCHING SLAM BOLT LOCK
20170122003 · 2017-05-04 ·

There is disclosed a dead-latching slam bolt lock that includes a rotating dead-latching slam bolt which prevents attempts at breaking in without actuating the lock mechanism. A tongue or toggle acted on by the door jamb engages the bolt and initiates rotation thereof in the door closing direction, but is passive in the opening direction. The locking mechanism may be manual or electronic, and controls the position of a blocking element which alternately prevents and permits unlocking (rotation) of the rotating bolt. In a forward or blocking position, the blocking element prevents rotation of the bolt from a locked position, while in a retracted position the blocking element permits rotation of the bolt to an unlocked position. A spring detent plunger holds the rotating bolt in either its locked or unlocked positions.

Locking device for a container

A locking device is provided, preferably for a container. The locking device keeps the lid of the container closed when the container is knocked over on its side, with a sudden jerking or jarring motion, such as by impact with the ground, to prevent spillage of its contents. The locking device, however, allows the lid to open when the waste container is tipped over, preferably in a forward direction, by a dumping operation.

TOOL OPERATED CHANNEL LATCH
20170016248 · 2017-01-19 ·

The present disclosure includes a tool operated channel latch used to secure a panel against a structure. The latch includes a bracket which mounts to a movable panel and includes an actuating mechanism to open and close the latch. A bolt is pivotably retained relative to the bracket for engaging against the structure closed by the panel. A lock assembly is carried on the actuator to engage a link which is movably coupled with both the bolt and the actuator. The lock assembly includes extending portions to engage at least one corresponding opening of the link. The link provides an over center toggle condition to retain the latch in a locked position until intentionally actuated by an operator.

Latch apparatus

Disclosed herein is a latch apparatus. The latch apparatus includes: a base formed with an opening; a latch gear formed with a mounting groove to lock a striker entering the mounting groove through the opening; a pawl rotatably disposed on the base and engaging with the latch gear to prevent rotation of the latch gear; a release lever disposed to adjoin the pawl, transmitting constraint force of pressing the pawl, and rotating the pawl to release the latch gear; a support shaft secured to the base, supporting a lateral surface of the pawl and transmitting the constraint force of pressing the pawl; and a guide portion rotatably provided to the support shaft, pressed to rotate by the release lever, and guiding movement of a projection pin provided to the pawl.

Long throw latch for aircraft system

An apparatus is provided for an aircraft. This apparatus includes a latch. The latch includes a handle, a hook structure and a linkage system operatively coupling the handle to the hook structure. The linkage system includes a back link, a center link, a back link pivot member and a center link pivot member. The hook structure includes a hook, a structure aperture and a structure slot located longitudinally between the hook and the structure aperture. The back link is pivotally coupled to the center link. The back link pivot member is received within the structure aperture and pivotally couples the back link to the hook structure. The center link pivot member is received within the structure slot and pivotally couples the handle and the center link together and to the hook structure.

Motor vehicle lock

A motor vehicle lock including a latch pivotable about a latch axis to an opening position and to a closing position. In the assembled state, the latch is in retaining engagement with a striker in the closing position, and in the opening position, the latch releases the striker, a blocking mechanism configured to be brought into a blocking state to block the latch in the closing position, and configured to be brought into a release state to release the latch to the opening position. The blocking mechanism including a pawl assembly including a pawl pivotally mounted via a pivot bearing and configured for blocking engagement with the latch. A crash blocking surface is provided so during a crash, when the pawl or the pivot bearing yields from deformation, an engaging surface of the pawl engages the crash blocking surface, to dissipate crash forces the crash blocking surface.

Pressure-release latch with tension calibration
12473761 · 2025-11-18 · ·

A pressure-release latch for releasably locking closed a door panel on the frame to which the door panel is hingedly connected. The latch has a base and a latch bolt rotatable between a closed position that locks the door panel closed and an open position that allows the door to swing open. A latch bolt actuator connected to the latch bolt rotates the latch bolt between the closed and open positions from outside the door panel, locks the latch bolt in the closed position, and automatically unlocks and moves the latch bolt to the open position when a predetermined opening force is applied to the latch bolt. A calibration mechanism adjusts the magnitude of the predetermined opening force required to automatically unlock the latch.

ELECTRIC LOCK AND CLUTCH MECHANISM THEREOF

An electric lock has a lock cylinder operable with a key. The lock cylinder has a latch drive lever extending along an axis. A clutch mechanism of the electric lock includes a fixed base fixedly connected to the lock cylinder, a rotatable knob rotatable on the fixed base, a clutch part movable along the axis and rotatable about the axis on the fixed base, a linkage part rotatable about the axis on the fixed base, and a driving device. The clutch part can drive the latch drive lever to rotate. The linkage part and the clutch part are against each other along the axis. The driving device is coupled with the linkage part so as to drive the linkage part to rotate about the axis, so that the clutch part is moved along the axis to be engaged with or disengaged from the rotatable knob.

INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE MECHANISM WITH A LINEAR PULLING DEVICE

An interior door handle mechanism for a vehicle includes: a support; a moving grip configured to cooperate with the support, the moving grip being movable between a rest position and a pulled position with respect to the support; and a linear pulling device arranged to cooperate with the support and the moving grip. The linear pulling device is arranged to link the moving grip and an opening cable of the vehicle. The linear pulling device is configured to pull on the opening cable by displacing a connection point of the opening cable with the linear pulling device according to the main axis only when the moving grip is moved from the rest position to the pulled position.
