LOCKING SYSTEM FOR DOOR ON OVER-THE-ROAD VEHICLE
20170268261 · 2017-09-21 ·

In combination: an over-the-road vehicle with a frame bounding a cargo space and at least one door having inside and outside surfaces and a peripheral edge; and a first locking assembly connected to the vehicle. The first locking assembly extends in an inside to outside direction over at least a portion of the thickness dimension of the peripheral door edge and so that a first portion extends to beyond the outside door surface. The first portion of the first locking assembly is configured to be engaged by a locking device that acts between the first locking assembly and another component to maintain the first door in the closed position. The first locking assembly is configured so that a region of the first portion is locally strengthened in a manner to resist severance and/or bending.

Camlock

An all-plastic, tumbler-free cam lock includes a cylindrical lock body with a flange extending radially from the distal end to be glued to a surface surrounding a mounting hole. The lock body has a bore extending axially and a central spindle received coaxially in the bore. A key has a cylindrical tubular key body insertable concentrically between the lock body shoulder and the distal end of the spindle. A pair of outer key lugs extend radially outwardly from the tubular key body to pass through the key channels of an interior shoulder of the lock body, thus permitting access only by one key configuration. A third key lug extends radially inwardly from the inner surface of the tubular key body to engage a keyway channel of the spindle.

DOOR LOCK WITH REINFORCED FIREPROOF FUNCTION
20220235575 · 2022-07-28 ·

A door lock with a reinforced fireproof effect includes a lock body mounted on a door and inner and outer operating units mounted to two sides of the door, respectively. The lock body includes inner and outer chassis made of ferrous material or stainless steel having a melting point higher than 1300° C. Inner and outer fixing members coupled with the inner and outer chassis are also made of ferrous material or stainless steel. Thus, these components of the door lock are less likely to melt during a fire, reducing the spreading speed of the fire.

DUAL FUNCTION SECURITY/FIRE LOCKING MECHANISM FOR FIRE RATED DEVICES
20210404219 · 2021-12-30 ·

An exit device located in a door frame having a door strike including a latchbolt assembly, a pushbar assembly, and a link assembly. The latchbolt assembly includes an extended position configured to engage the door strike, and a retracted position configured to move past the door strike. The pushbar assembly moves from a released position to a pressed position to move the latchbolt assembly from the extended position to the retracted position. The link assembly is operatively connected to the pushbar assembly and includes a security link having an elongated aperture and a pin configured to extend through the elongated aperture about which the security link rotates. A keeper surrounds the pin and supports the security link for rotation. In the event of extreme heat, the keeper melts and the security link moves to a position to substantially prevent opening of the door.

A chain lock includes a lock body having a first closure part, a second closure part, and a combination locking mechanism that is aligned along a lock axis. The chain lock having a bolt selectively locked to the lock body by the combination locking mechanism. The lock body has a chain connection part permanently connected to the bolt via a chain. The combination locking mechanism having a plurality of rotatable code setting rings arranged between the first and second closure parts. At a first end the lock body has at least one first fastening pin that engages through the housing sleeve into an annular groove of the chain connection part. At a second end the lock body has at least one second fastening pin that engages through the housing sleeve into the second closure part of the lock body and that fixes the second closure part to the housing sleeve.

Variable spring rate chassis

An apparatus including a chassis assembly having a housing, a spindle rotatably mounted to the housing, a spring collar rotatably mourned to the housing, a first biasing element rotationally urging the spindle toward a spindle home position, and a second biasing element rotationally urging the spring collar toward a spring collar home position. The apparatus may further include a handle mounted on the chassis such that the chassis biases the handle to a handle home position with a return torque. The handle is engaged with the spindle such that the first biasing element contributes to the return torque. In certain embodiments, the handle may further be engaged with the spring collar such that the second biasing element contributes to the return torque.
