Insulating Guide for Walk-in Commercial Refrigerator and Freezer Plunger-type Internal Door Latch Release
A safety latch release apparatus for an institutional walk-in refrigerator or freezer cabinet doors provided with a bushing inserted into the mounting plate and surrounding the plunger rod for substantially blocking the internal cabinet air from flowing into the latch release pathway through the door to the external latch release assembly. The bushing also provides enhanced support and positional guidance to maintain the plunger rod centered along the annular opening of the mounting plate and bushing so that the rod is properly operationally aligned with the rear side of the handle latch assembly.
ACCESS CONTROL DEVICE
An access control device 12 comprising: a locking mechanism 21 for a moveable barrier 11, the moveable barrier having a first side and a second side, the locking mechanism 10 having a locked and an unlocked state; a first locking and/or user interface component 21 for positioning on the first side of the moveable barrier; a second locking and/or user interface component 16 for positioning on the second side of the moveable barrier; and a fixing member 14 54 for extending through a barrier member and for securing the first and second locking and/or user interface components to the barrier member; wherein the fixing member is operable to transmit data signals between the locking and/or user interface components on opposite sides of the moveable barrier. There is also an access control method provided.
THERMAL BREAK SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DOORS AND WINDOWS
A door assembly providing a door frame including an inside steel panel having an inner surface and an outer surface, and a C-shaped section extending about a periphery thereof with a portion of the C-shaped section extending in part parallel to the inner surface of the inside steel panel; an outside steel panel having an inner surface and an outer surface, and a C-shaped section extending about a periphery thereof with a portion of the C-shaped section extending in part parallel to the inner surface of the outside steel panel; an insulating material interposed between respective C-shaped sections of the inside steel panel and the outside steel panel to thermally isolate the inside steel panel and the outside steel panel from each other, and said inside steel panel and outside steel panel being secured together at respective C-shaped sections to form the thermal break system.

Intelligent door lock system for use with a door assembly
An intelligent door lock system that permits both electronic and manual control of a deadbolt. The door lock system can include an inner bezel assembly, an outer bezel assembly, and a deadbolt assembly, where the deadbolt assembly can be coupled to the outer bezel assembly via a twist-lock feature. The inner bezel assembly also includes a puck assembly that seats within an inner bezel. The puck assembly can be retained within or released from the inner bezel via a latch assembly. The outer bezel assembly includes a display assembly that seats within an outer bezel. The outer bezel is coupled to a motor chassis assembly that includes a motor and gear assembly having a series of gears that translate movement of dial elements or a motor into movement of a bolt element between locked and unlocked positions.
Smartlock system for improved fire safety
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage mediums, for a smartlock device that can be integrated in a door at a property. The smartlock device includes a locking mechanism configured to lock the door and to unlock the door. The device includes a radio device and a sensor that determines a first temperature of the smartlock device and a second temperature of a room that is accessible via the door. The radio device is operable to: i) receive parameter signals from the sensor indicating each of the first and second temperatures; ii) transmit data that includes the first and second temperatures to a monitoring system; and iii) receive a command to cause the locking mechanism to unlock the door based on information from the monitoring system. The information includes a determined routing of occupants at the property and is presented on a display of the device.
