An example product security device may include a first jaw and a second jaw that are operably coupled together to slide between an open position and a closed position. The example product security device may include a locking mechanism. In a locked state, the locking mechanism may permit movement of the first jaw towards the second jaw but prevent movement away from the second jaw. The example product security device may also include a product engagement pin. The product engagement pin may fasten the product security device to a product by piercing through the product and being received by the second jaw. A shroud having a shroud orifice may surround the product engagement pin and be operably coupled to the first jaw such that the shroud is movable relative to the product engagement pin.

Magnetic keys, bow caps and key components are described. In one aspect, the present application describes a key. The key includes a blade and a bow connected to the blade. The bow is for applying torque to the blade. The bow defines a key ring aperture located near a top of the bow. The top is the portion of the bow furthest from the blade. The key also include a magnet fixedly coupled to the bow by placement within the key ring aperture to provide a magnetic field on at least one side of the key.

Locking device

A locking device and system are disclosed. The locking device includes a barrel within which sets a plug. A plurality of pins sit in pin pathways that extend partially through the barrel and plug and the pins prevent rotation of the barrel within the plug when the ends of the pins are not aligned with a shear line. One of the pins has a recess formed therein within which a locking ball can sit. The engagement or otherwise of the locking ball in the recess is controlled by a linear actuator. When the linear actuator allows the locking ball to disengage the recess the pin with the recess in can engage the key and a line the end of the pin with the shear line.

A locking device and system are disclosed. The locking device includes a barrel within which sets a plug.
