LOCK SYSTEM WITH AUXILIARY PIN TUMBLER STACK
Locking systems allow for the unlocking and locking of, e.g., doors, containers, and enclosures. Lock cylinders are coded to specific keys, and often there is a desire to have a key be able to access a subset of lock cylinders. Keys are coded using bitting to gain access to specific lock cylinders. It is with respect to these and other general considerations that embodiments have been described.
Cylinder lock
A cylinder lock comprises a lock cylinder; a holder for receiving the lock cylinder; and a securing element, wherein the lock cylinder comprises a cylinder housing and a cylinder core that is rotatable about a cylinder axis in the cylinder housing and that has a keyway, wherein the securing element is axially fixedly held at the lock cylinder and has a blocking section, which contacts an abutment section of the holder in a blocking position, and a coupling section. The coupling section is accessible for a coupling actuation through the keyway and is rotationally fixedly couplable to the cylinder core by the coupling actuation. The blocking section is hereby then displaceable from the blocking position into a release position, in which the lock cylinder is released for a removal from the holder, by turning the cylinder core by means of an associated key.

Modular and interchangeable lock plug
An exemplary lock apparatus includes a housing and a plug assembly rotatably mounted in the housing. The plug assembly includes a tumbler assembly operable to selectively prevent rotation of the plug assembly relative to the housing and a retention mechanism operable to selectively prevent removal of the plug assembly from the housing. A system including the lock apparatus may include a change key configured to actuate the tumbler assembly without actuating the retention mechanism and/or a control key configured to actuate both the tumbler assembly and the retention mechanism.
KEY, LOCK, AND LATCH ASSEMBLY
A latch mechanism includes a hook-handle assembly coupled to a first panel and a clevis coupled to a second panel. The hook-handle assembly engages the clevis to secure the first panel relative to the second panel.
SECURITY SCREENING OF CHECKED LUGGAGE
Method of securing and screening luggage with dual-function locks that the TSA and similar luggage-screening entities can open to screen checked air travelers' luggage.
Cylinder lock and key system
A cylinder lock and key system. The plugs comprise a housing having a cylindrical bore; and a cylindrical plug which is rotatable and which exhibits a front end and a keyway. The keys comprise a key bow; and a key blade is rotatable about the rotational axis when inserted. The plugs and keys are provided with cooperating stop surfaces for defining the fully inserted position of the keys. At least one first stop surface is in contact with a corresponding second stop surface when a key is inserted in the keyway of a lock. At least two first stop surfaces of each key are arranged adjacent each other and at least two second stop surfaces of each lock are arranged adjacent each other, at or in proximity to the keyway. A cylinder lock and key combination, a key, a key blank and a cylinder lock are also disclosed.
INTERCHANGEABLE CYLINDER FOR LOCKS
Interchangeable cylinder for locks that have an outer cylinder and an inner cylinder that has a locking device that uses a master key to unlock it is provided. The object of the invention is the inner cylinder, which carries an associated wing in functions of a handle, the wing and the body of the cylinder forming a single whole. The wing is integrated in the cylinder itself, and is extended radially beyond its body. The wing is of thin, flat or extra-flat configuration, and is attached to or integrated into the front of the cylinder itself. For application in interchangeable cylinder locks, to comply with ADA regulations.
Lockdown cylinder locks
An exemplary lock cylinder includes a shell, a plug positioned in the shell, and a locking assembly. The locking assembly is configured to prevent rotation of the plug when no key is inserted, and to permit rotation of the plug upon insertion of any of a plurality of keys having different bitting profiles. The locking assembly may further be configured to prevent key extraction when the plug is in a rotated position.
