Push button device with push actuation with improved kinematics for application in a vehicle
Push button device for a motor vehicle, has: a mechanical and/or electric function controller with a first control state and a second control state; a push button element pressable from a disengaged state into a pressed state, wherein the function controller has the first control state when the push button element is in the disengaged state and the second control state when the push button element is in the pressed state, the push button element connected to the function controller by a first pivot arm mounted rotatably about a first axis of rotation and by a second pivot arm mounted rotatably about a different axis of rotation spaced apart from the first axis of rotation, wherein the first pivot arm and the second pivot arm are designed to be pivoted in an identical direction of rotation as a consequence of a movement of the push button element.
Securing handle for an openable side window
An openable side window for a motor vehicle is provided having an openable side window which covers a lateral vehicle opening when in its closed position and can be locked by a securing device, the securing device comprising a pivotable securing handle which can be pivoted between an unlocked position and a locked position and has an operating arm and a latch arm which, when in the locked position, interacts with a latch counterpart, wherein the latch arm comprises a functional element which is pre-loaded radially outward with respect to a pivot axis of the securing handle.
Door handle assembly incorporating a vehicle occupant alert system
A door handle assembly including a handle base fixed to the vehicle door; a handle member for opening the vehicle door, wherein the handle member is movable between latched and unlatched positions; a handle frame mounted to the vehicle door, the handle frame includes a peripheral rim; a first lighting strip operatively embedded around the peripheral rim, the first lighting strip configured to illuminate upon activation; a motor and a cam, where the cam is in operative contact with a second end of the handle base, where the motor will cause the cam to rotate upon activation, where rotation of the cam will impart vibrations throughout the handle base and thus cause the handle member to vibrate; and a touch sensor located on the handle member, where the touch sensor can recognize when a user grips the handle member.
Security Indication Device and Combination Lock
An electronic combination lock comprising a rotatable dial, an energy-harvesting device operatively connected to and configured to harvest energy from the rotatable dial, an energy-storage device operatively connected to and configured to be powered by the energy-harvesting device, a security status indicator operatively connected to and configured to by powered by the energy storage device, and logic configured to determine whether the combination lock is in a secure state and to activate the security-status indicator when the electronic combination lock is not in a secure state. A security-indication device for use with a combination device. A method for indicating a combination lock is not in a secure state comprising the steps of harvesting energy, storing the harvested energy, determining whether the combination lock is in a secure state, and, upon determining the combination lock is not in a secure state, activating a security-status indicator by powering it with stored energy.
Systems and methods for haptically-enhanced smart home architectures
The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for haptically-enhanced smart home architectures. For example, one disclosed method includes determining a building component condition of a building component; determining an interaction with a control device in the building, the control device associated with the component of the building and comprising a haptic output device; determining a haptic effect based on the building component condition; and transmitting a signal to the haptic output device to cause the haptic output device to output the haptic effect.
Autonomous vehicle passenger identification and guidance system
A system to provide alerts to guide visually-impaired passengers to a vehicle is disclosed. The system includes a passenger identification module that is configured to identify a passenger based upon sensor data received at an autonomous vehicle and a passenger proximity module that is configured to determine a distance between the passenger and the autonomous vehicle. The system also includes an alert module that is configured to generate an alert having an alert characteristic corresponding to the distance.
SECURING HANDLE FOR AN OPENABLE SIDE WINDOW
An openable side window for a motor vehicle is provided having an openable side window which covers a lateral vehicle opening when in its closed position and can be locked by means of a securing device, the securing device comprising a pivotable securing handle which can be pivoted between an unlocked position and a locked position and has an operating arm and a latch arm which, when in the locked position, interacts with a latch counterpart, wherein the latch arm comprises a functional element which is pre-loaded radially outward with respect to a pivot axis of the securing handle.
Lock device
A lock includes a housing, a cylindrical core body and a tumbler unit. The core body is rotatably mounted in the housing, and includes a core axle, and a core tube sleeved on the core axle. The core axle has a helical keyway. The tumbler unit includes a housing pin hole formed in the housing, a tube through hole formed through the core tube, a pin assembly movably mounted in the housing pin hole and the tube through hole, a hole-defining surface defining the tube through hole and having a shoulder surface portion, and a resilient member disposed in the housing and resiliently biasing the pin assembly to abut against the shoulder surface portion and extend into the helical keyway.
