REAL-TIME UNIVERSAL MEDICATION MANAGEMENT DEVICE WITH LOCKING AND METERING, AND PROCESS FOR USING THE SAME
20180075216 · 2018-03-15 ·

Devices, systems, and processes for real-time universal medication management with locking and metering are disclosed. Opening bottles and taking the right quantity of medicines presents a challenge to many. The devices, systems, and processes disclosed herein present solutions to this problem. Use of original dispensed containers has the advantage of being able to leverage uniquely identifiable Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices that may be efficiently connected and monitored by the professional healthcare industry. Managing all medicines and ingested materials simultaneously with vital sign recording provides new insights into patient care and pharmacogenomics. The disclosed devices, systems, and processes may provide a notification of when to take a dose of each medication, enabling teaching at the point of medicine access and recording actions to a personal account accessible via the Internet, thereby keeping users safely engaged throughout the medicine taking process.

Lockout system for energy sources

A lockout system includes a hasp assembly and a plurality of tags. The hasp assembly has a back plate defining slots each sized and shaped to receive a tag. The back plate and tags each have openings that align when a tag is received in a slot. A first hasp portion on the back plate defines part of a closed loop. A longitudinal locking bar is slidable along the back plate and has notches shaped to receive ends of the tags. Moving the locking bar between an unlocked position and a locked position operates the second hasp portion between an open position and a closed position. In the closed position, the first and second hasp portions complete and define the closed loop, where one or more tags can be installed in slots with the first end of the tag engaging a notch to lock closed the hasp portion.

Locking unit, housing with locking unit, and method for unlocking one or more doors of the housing

Provided is a housing with at least two doors for locking respective housing openings, comprising: a locking unit, which, for each of the doors, has a respective locking-element module with at least one locking body and with a locking drive for actuating the locking body, wherein the locking drive for the locking-element modules has a common drive element, which can be moved and moves the locking body/bodies for just one of the doors into an unlocking setting and, in a second adjustment position, moves the locking bodies for all of the doors into an unlocking setting; or locking units, wherein one or more respective locking units can be activated for unlocking the associated door of the at least two doors of the housing, and respective locking units can be activated for unlocking all of the associated doors of the at least two doors of the housing.

Vehicle unlocking systems and methods

Example vehicle unlocking systems and methods are described. In one implementation, a method detects a vehicle access device within a predetermined distance of a vehicle and determines a geographic location of the vehicle. The method also detects a time of day and determines previous door unlocking behavior associated with the vehicle access device. A vehicle access point is selected for unlocking based on the geographic location, time of day, and previous door unlocking behavior.

DOOR AND HOME SECURITY SYSTEM AND METHOD
20170284129 · 2017-10-05 ·

A door security system and method may increase the home security for elderly people without limiting the privacy of or convenience for residents. The method comprises detecting closing of a door; keeping a first locking mechanism of said door in an open position for a first predetermined period of time after said closing; after said predetermined period of time, changing said first locking mechanism into a locked position. The re-entry time frame permits a user to re-enter without a key, immediately after realizing they forgot it. The method may further comprise recognizing motion of a person on a door of a house through a camera provided in or near the door; producing streaming footage; sending the streaming footage to a central processing server; processing the streaming footage for face recognition purpose and checking against several; and storing all data on the server.

CONTAINER WITH A SELECTIVE OPENING AND CLOSING MECHANISM
20170270730 · 2017-09-21 ·

A system and apparatus which includes one or more locking container devices comprising a closeable container for holding at least one object; lock coupled to the container and moveable between a lock position and an unlock position; and programmable timer circuit for actuating the lock at a programmed time which is either specified or randomly set. The container device alternatively includes a receiving component for sensing a change an external condition including but not limited to, geographic location, temperature, sound and one or more predetermined operations. The timer circuit is alternatively unlocked by receiving an unlock signal via an appropriate communication medium from a remote source. The container device also includes a transmitter for transmitting an appropriate signal to the remote source. An interface terminal is coupled to the remote source and configured to accept at least one external condition instruction to be transmitted to the receiving component.

REMOTE ACCESS TO SECURITY SYSTEM AND RETROFITTING EXISTING SECURITY SYSTEM FOR REMOTE ACCESS
20170249815 · 2017-08-31 ·

A controller, which can be operated wirelessly by a remote transmitter using PIN-based authentication, has some switch-controlled channels and at least one channel that does not have a corresponding switch. The switch-controlled channels can be used for applications where simple switch-driven manual control is desirable, such as opening and closing a garage using a switch inside the garage (in addition to using the remote transmitter). The channel(s) without switch(es) can be used in applications where simple switch-driven manual control is unwanted and only PIN-authenticated control (e.g. by using the remote transmitter) is desired, such as arming and disarming a home alarm.

Portable low cost firearm safe
