LOCK AND METHOD FOR OPERATING SAME
A method for operating a lock. A wireless command is received from a trusted device in a proximity range of the lock to enable a proximity mode. The proximity range is selectable by a user of the trusted device via an application. The proximity mode is enabled, and while enabled, a command is received to activate or deactivate the lock. The lock is activated or deactivated in response to the received activating or deactivating command.
Cooler lock
A cooler access control system locks a cooler when occurrence of an event is detected that requires limiting access to the inside of the cooler. Examples of such events include the loss of power to the cooler for a predetermined period of time, the opening of the cooler door for longer than an allowed time, the loss of functionality of a temperature probe and others. In an embodiment, a service mode is supported wherein the door is left unlocked despite the occurrence of such an event, to allow a stocker or other personnel to leave the cooler door open while stocking the cooler with product.
Safe and lock detection system
Systems and methods to indicate whether a safe is locked or unlocked.
Electric door release powered by an energy harvester
A piezoelectric energy harvester system for collecting kinetic energy is provided, wherein the kinetic energy is converted into electrical energy, and wherein at least a portion of the converted electrical energy is utilized to operate a load. The system comprises an energy input portion and an energy harvesting portion. The energy input portion includes an input member configured to be actionable by an outside force. The energy harvesting portion includes a capture member, a sprocket portion, and a piezoelectric energy harvester. The capture member is adapted for receiving mechanical input from the input member. The sprocket portion is disposed for movement with the capture member. The sprocket portion includes at least one radially disposed sprocket actuator configured for making contact with and exciting the piezoelectric energy harvester. The piezoelectric energy harvester is excited by the contact to produce the kinetic energy.
DETECTION AND CORRECTION OF INSUFFICIENT LOCKING BEHAVIOR OF AN ELECTRONIC LOCKSET
Methods and systems for detecting and correcting insufficient locking behavior, using an electronic lockset. One aspect is a method of deadlatching an electronic lockset, the method comprising detecting motion of a deadbolt from an unlocked position toward a locked position, determining a position of the deadbolt after the motion ceases via a sensor of the electronic lockset, determining, based on the position, whether the deadbolt has moved to the locked position, wherein in the locked position the deadbolt is placed in a deadlatched state, and transmitting an actuation command to the electronic lockset to move the deadbolt into the locked position.
LOCKING DEVICE FOR LOCKER
A locking device for a locker is proposed. The locking device for a locker is configured to lock or unlock a locker by using a smartphone instead of a user card, and to perform both the function of a deadbolt and the function of a spring latch using a latch operation lever. The locking device includes a locking unit that has a casing, a deadbolt latch, a latch operation lever, a stopper plate, a driving controller controlling the latch operation lever, a motor driving unit connected to the latch operation lever, and a battery unit, wherein an end portion of the deadbolt latch is locked to the stopper plate such that the deadbolt latch is not moved backward, thereby keeping a locker locked.
Door lock adapter
An adapter configured to convert a rotary motion of a drive shaft for a door lock actuating mechanism into a translational motion for actuating a door latch. The adapter includes a housing with a compartment and a first lever inside the compartment, enables retrofitting of US-style doors with a European style door handle by providing a first bearing that rotatably supports the first lever relative to the housing, wherein the first bearing has a first axis of rotation, wherein the housing has a channel, the channel has a first opening facing the lever and a second opening facing away from the lever, wherein a first channel axis extends through the centers of the first and second openings. The first lever has a hole, configured for receiving the drive shaft, wherein the longitudinal axis of the drive shaft correlates with the first axis of rotation. The first lever further has first coupling means for providing a torque proof coupling with the drive shaft. A second bearing pivotably attaches the lever to a connecting rod, where-in the second bearing has a second axis of rotation, wherein the connecting rod has a first connecting element at the end of the connecting rod opposite to the lever. The first connecting element is moveably supported inside the first channel, wherein the channel walls limit a translation of the first connecting element in directions perpendicular to the first channel axis and enable a translation along the first channel axis.
Door lock for a domestic electrical appliance
A door lock for a domestic electrical appliance includes a locking member which is electrically switchable between an unlocking position and a locking position, which locking member in the unlocking position allows a closed door of the domestic appliance to be opened and in the locking position is in blocking engagement with a blockable component at least when the door is closed, and an auxiliary member, separate from the blockable component, which is movable in dependence on the closing of the door from a release position into a blocking position. The blocking engagement effects blocking of the closed door against opening. In the release position, the auxiliary member allows the locking member to be transferred from the unlocking position into the locking position; in contrast, in its blocking position, the auxiliary member blocks the locking member against being transferred from the unlocking position into the locking position.
ELECTRONIC CYLINDRICAL LOCK
An electronic cylindrical lock has a main body. The main body includes a slide member. The main body further includes a first clutch unit and a second clutch unit to drive the slide member. The first clutch unit and the second clutch unit are connected with a first handle and a second handle, respectively. The main body further includes a control unit for controlling the first clutch unit and the second clutch unit to be engaged or disengaged, so as to selectively allow the first handle and the second handle to drive the lock tongue, or selectively allow the first handle and the second handle not to drive the lock tongue.
Novo lock
The present invention provides a resistant lock for locking doors, having a locking mechanism that enable locking the door in any direction without any modification or adjustment thereof, and that provide improved security.
