Side mount canopy locking and releasing hinge apparatus for mounting a canopy to the fuselage of a vehicle
This invention relates to a canopy locking and releasing apparatus for mounting a canopy to the fuselage of a vehicle. The canopy locking and releasing apparatus is comprised of several mechanisms. These include internal canopy locking and releasing mechanism, the external (Type A, B, or C) canopy locking and releasing mechanisms, a hinge plate and base mechanism, a hinge retaining pin, and a fuselage locking and releasing device for the hinge base. The apparatus is mounted on the sides of a canopy and attached to the cockpit of a vehicle. This apparatus allows for quick and easy opening of the canopy for routine or emergent access and driver entry or egress. An unique advantage of the canopy side mount locking and releasing hinge mechanism for vehicles is that the cockpit is easily accessible from either side of the vehicle, from the inside and outside of the vehicle, or if necessary, from both sides of the vehicle at once. Additionally, there is shown an alternative use for the internal locking and releasing mechanism and the retaining pin.
Safety Switch
A safety switch (2) with a latching unit (12), by means of which an associated actuator (3) is held in a latched position. The latching unit (12) has an arrangement of latching jaws (14). Each latching jaw (14) is spring-mounted by means of a spring unit (15). The latching jaws (14) are concentrically arranged and each face one another with a first free end and delimit an insertion opening (A). The latching jaws (14) are held in latched position by the spring forces generated by the spring units (15). The latching jaws (14) can be displaced against the spring forces of the spring unit (15), which serves to enlarge the insertion opening (A).
Latch mechanism for an openable box side of a pickup truck
A vehicle includes a box extending from a cab and including a floor and a first sidewall attached to a headboard, via a hinge assembly, disposed normal to the floor and sidewall. The hinge assembly is configured to allow the first sidewall to rotate away from the floor at the headboard. The vehicle also includes a latch mechanism. The latch mechanism includes a pin having an end and a shaft attached to the first sidewall and a receiver having a plate hingedly connected to the receiver. Upon rotation of the first sidewall toward the floor, the end fits into the receiver and the plate locks the shaft to secure the first sidewall to the floor.
Push-to-open/signal-to-open appliance door latching system with an integrated locking device
Provided is a push-to-open latch for an oven appliance and other household appliances. The push-to-open latch includes an integrated locking device for locking an appliance door in place and initiate a downstream appliance function such as a self-cleaning function. The integrated locking device includes a rotating cam having a latching slot which engages a pawl. The rotating cam also includes a guiding ramp and a catch surface which may be used to engage a latching finger to lock the cam in place. In addition, the locking device may include a locking slide and a locking slide pin that is actuated by a solenoid to engage the cam. Once the appliance door is locked, one or more switches send a signal to the appliance controller to activate the downstream function.
QUICK FASTENING AND/OR CONNECTION SYSTEM
A quick connection and/or fastening system suited to mutually connect and disconnect a first and a second element is disclosed, the system including a first and a second component that are suited to be rigidly fixed to the first and second elements, respectively, the first component and the second component being also suited to be mutually connected and disconnected, the second component being suited to house an end portion of the first component in such a way as to allow its translation inside the second component, the second component comprising also counteracting elements suited to counteract the translation of the end portion of the first component towards the outside of the second component.
Lid device
Provided is a lid device which is compact, and can be installed in an efficient manner. The lid device (20) releasably locks a lid provided with a hinge (12) in a closed position. The lid device is provided with a push lifter that alternates between an extended state and a retracted state each time the lid is pushed, a motor (54) placed next to the push lifter, a lock member (18) and a transmission mechanism (60, 64) for transmitting the output of the motor. The push lifter and the motor are arranged such that a lengthwise direction of the push lifter and a lengthwise direction of the motor are perpendicular to each other, and such that the motor at least partly overlaps with the push lifter when seen from the lengthwise direction of the motor.
HANDLE ASSEMBLY WITH DEFEATER AND RELATED METHODS
A handle assembly and related methods for actuating a mechanism such as a disconnect switch.
TWO DIRECTION MAGNETICALLY LATCHING SOLENOID FOR APPLIANCE DOOR LOCK
An appliance latch for latching an appliance door to an appliance cabinet that includes a housing and a lock bolt positioned to move linearly within the housing between a locked state and an unlocked state. A solenoid is positioned within the housing and includes an integrated magnetic lock, distinct from the lock bolt, to prevent undesired movement from the locked state to the unlocked state and movement from the unlocked state to the locked state.
A LOCK FOR A BIN AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING ACCESS TO A BIN
A lock system is described which includes a range monitoring system including a computer processor to monitor the proximity of the bin to a base station; a collection monitoring module including a computer processor to monitor when the bin is being collected. Also described is a computer-controlled method of inhibiting bin access to unauthorised persons, the method includes the steps of monitoring proximity of a bin to a base station with a range monitor having a computer processor to monitor the proximity of the bin; monitoring bin collection movement with a computer processor having a lift monitor, and unlocking a bin lock with a computer controller when the range monitor detects that the bin is proximal a base station and locking the bin lock when the range monitor detects that the bin is distal the base station.
