Double-action, adjustable, after-market sash stop
09840860 · 2017-12-12 · ·

An adjustable stop limits sliding sash window/door travel between a closed position and a safe position, where the safe position is a position less than a full-open position. The stop can be installed upon window/door master frames during initial manufacturing, or as an after-market option while the sash windows/doors are in service in a building. The safety stop may be comprised of a housing and a tumbler being pivotally mounted within a cavity in the housing, with a spring to bias the tumbler out of an opening in the housing. Mounting is by a flange extending from the housing, with spacers of varying thickness that are capable of removably attaching thereon to accommodate sash to master frame height differences. A safety member may be added to either the tumbler or housing to create a double action stop, requiring disengagement of the safety member, prior to toggling of the stop.

In one aspect of the present disclosure, a locking device is provided including an interchangeable core (IC), a barrel, an anti-rotation plate, a prong driver, a bolt and a backplate. The barrel is coupled to the backplate and includes a hollow interior to receive the IC. The bolt is slidably disposed in a slot of the backplate. The IC includes a key hole. The prong driver is coupled to the IC and the bolt, such that, when a proper key is inserted into the key hole and rotated the bolt can be extended from the slot in a direction away from the locking device or retracted into the slot in a direction toward the interior of the locking device. The anti-rotation plate of the locking device is coupled to the barrel to prevent the locking device from being rotated relative to a structure the locking device is mounted to.

CYLINDER LOCK

This cylinder lock is a cylinder lock which can lock and unlock a mortise lock via a displacement transmission member. The cylinder lock comprises: a cylinder lock body; a key insertion part which is provided on one end side of the cylinder lock body and into which a key is inserted; and a displacement transmission member mounting part which is provided on the other end side of the cylinder lock body and on which the displacement transmission member can be mounted. A plurality of displacement transmission members corresponding to each of case locks having a plurality of specifications can be removably mounted on the displacement transmission member mounting part. Thus, cylinder locks having the same specification can be applied to case locks having a variety of specifications.

ADJUSTABLE BIN LATCH ASSEMBLY

An overhead compartment of an airplane includes a storage bin and a latch assembly. A latch mechanism of the latch assembly is selectively, controllably engageable and disengageable with a keeper to hold the overhead compartment in a stowed position, or an open position, respectively.

UNIVERSAL LATCH ASSEMBLY TO ALLOW SELECTIVE LATCH HANDLE ORIENTATIONS

Latch assemblies are provided with a paddle lever having an outwardly extending actuator flange and a rotary actuator plate which includes a fixed actuator pin extending outwardly from the actuator plate and adapted to being operatively engaged with the actuator flange of the paddle lever when manually moved into the unlatched condition thereof. At least one pair of arcuate spirally patterned and circumferentially separated cam slots are defined in the rotary actuator plate such that a latch pin associated with a latch bolt is operatively received within a selected one of the cam slots. Movement of the paddle lever from the latched condition into the unlatched condition thereof responsively engages the actuator flange with the actuator pin thereby causing rotation of the actuator plate about a rotary axis thereof and movement of the latch pin within the selected one of the cam slots whereby the latch pin is retracted to unlatch a moveable component from a fixed component.

Lock with a roller deadbolt

A lock with a roller deadbolt includes a driving member having a first slot and a transverse slot. The driving member is connected to a first spring, a second spring and a positioning rod. A deadbolt includes a body, an insertion member, a roller and a slide. The driving member is connected to the body. The insertion member is received in the body. The second spring biases the insertion member. The slide is restricted by the positioning rods of the driving member and has a first guide pin extending through the first slot. The slide is movable along the first slot. The guide hole includes an extension slot and an inclined slot which inclinedly communicates with the extension slot. When in a non-transmission position, the roller protrudes beyond the receiving space. When in the transmission position, the roller does not protrude beyond the receiving space.

PUSH AND/OR PULL HANDLE LOCKSETS

A push and/or pull handle lockset, comprising: latch tongue (4) in first extended position, and operable to second retracted position; biasing means (6) urging the latch tongue (4) in first position; a linking means (12) to link the latch tongue to the actuator (16); sliding shaft (20) extending through lockset roses (27, 36), and operable from first position to second operating position; a biasing means (26) urging the sliding shaft to first position; an engagement means (21) for sliding shaft (20) to engage with actuator (16); lock accommodations (22, 30) for locking means; actuator (16) to translate movement of said sliding shaft to operate latch tongue (4) into second position; locking means (45) interposed between the lockset roses in parallel alignment with sliding shaft (20) including latch arm (46) which is rotatable in and out of lock sockets (22, 30); lockset unit operation is reversed by rotating the lockset unit one hundred and eighty degrees (180°) about it's horizontal lateral axis, changing the direction of actuator (16) or handle (43, 44) operation.

Electric latch retraction bar

An electric latch retraction device comprising a housing for receiving a plurality of internal components of the electric latch retraction device. An actuator mechanism is included in the housing, the actuator mechanism is adapted to impart linear movement on a latch, such that the latch is retracted towards the housing. A holding mechanism is also included in the housing, the holding mechanism holds the latch in a fully retracted position.

Stay for locking a door, window or flap in a partly open position

A stay is provided. A first part (12) including a base (16) for attachment to a wing or to the frame surrounding the wing and an elongate internally threaded tube (24) which is attached to the base (16) in such manner as to be free to pivot with respect to the base. The stay further includes a second part (14) including a rod (58) with threading compatible with that of the tube (24). A locking element (50) with a circumferential groove is attached to and protrudes transversely from the rod (58) and there is a cylindrical element (40) forming part of a base (34) for attachment to the wing or frame. There is first bore in the element (40) for receiving the element (50) and a threaded second bore intersecting the first bore for receiving a cap screw which enters the groove to prevent withdrawal of the element (50) from the first bore.
