Method for controlling door access with improved safety
10726705 · 2020-07-28 ·

A method for controlling door access with improved safety includes connecting door locks with a control device. Through physical and electrical connection by an emergency control unit, the control device can set all door locks to a locking state and can revoke unlocking authority of all door locks. When the emergency control unit is physically disconnected from the control device, all door locks can operate independently in locking and unlocking. Furthermore, the control device is connected to at least one gunshot detection device and/or at least one fire detection device. When a gunshot event and/or a fire occurs, the door locks near the gunshot location or the fire can be rapidly locked to reduce the movement speed of the gunman and/or the spreading speed of the fire.

Component-integrated tailgate handle switch for vehicle

A vehicle is provided that includes a wiper-integrated tailgate handle switch mounted to a window glass of a tailgate. The wiper-integrated tailgate handle switch includes a tailgate handle switch, which is configured to press a current carrying switch arranged in the internal space thereof using the height of an insertion space defined by a difference in height between transverse and longitudinal bodies of a handle switch housing, and a wiper. Therefore, a degree of freedom in design of the tailgate is increased which improves the aesthetic of the tailgate by removing the tailgate handle switch from the tailgate.

A drawer assembly is described that includes one or more mini-drawer assemblies. A mini-drawer assembly comprises a sliding tab along a rear-to-front axis, a release mechanism coupled to the sliding tab, and a body having a body bottom coupled from the body bottom to the sliding tab. The body may slide over the sliding tab. The mini-drawer assembly may include a plurality of compartments in the body and a plurality of lids that are hingedly coupled to the compartments. Each lid may have a respective fastening element. A plurality of latches may couple to the body such that each latch is coupled to a corresponding compartment. The latch may hold the respective fastening element of the lid. When the body is pulled out along the rear-to-front axis, the release mechanism may engage with the latch to release the respective fastening element and to unlatch the lid of the compartment.

Locking system with multiple latches

A locking system provides multiple lockable latching mechanisms that are collectively operable and lockable from a central actuation mechanism. Each latching mechanism can be positioned and actuated independent of the positioning of others of the latching mechanisms. In particular, the latching mechanisms need not be aligned with one another. The system uses flexible connectors between the central actuation mechanism and the respective latching mechanisms. The flexible connectors can have different respective lengths.
