Sealed connection device between two enclosed volumes with improved security
Assembly including a first volume and a device for connection between the first volume and a second volume, the first volume including a first flange and a first door, and the second enclosed volume including a second flange and a second door, the connection device including a securing and disengaging mechanism intended to secure the first and second doors and to disengage the second door from its flange, the mechanism including a plate mounted on the first door. The assembly also including an immobilisation mechanism for immobilising the plate relative to the first door in a position in the absence of the second door and in another position in the presence of the second door in a state of securing the first and second doors, and unlocking the second door relative to the second flange.
Locking and sealing arrangement for a load switch handle
A handle assembly includes a handle, a handle seal recess, and a hub engaging portion. A hub has a lock receiving surface and a handle engaging portion. A shaft is receivable within the hub and has first and second ends, the first end engaged with the handle, and the second end rotatable by rotating the grasping portion of the handle. A V-ring is disposed within the handle seal recess and engages the hub to prevent moisture ingress between the handle and the hub. The hub has a seal recess and an X-ring and an O-ring disposed therein to seal against the shaft to prevent moisture ingress between the hub and the shaft. Axial pressure applied to the O-ring by the hub engaging portion of the handle causes the O-ring to press against the X-ring to force at least one lobe of the X-ring against the central portion of the shaft.
Door latch interlock for a lined bulk material container
An interlock assembly for a door latch mechanism of a door in a container for bulk material that has an interior lined with a membrane for holding fluid. The interlock assembly includes a plunger in an aperture formed through the door, which moves between an extended position, where the plunger extends into the interior of the container, and a locked position, where the plunger is urged outwardly from of the interior of the container. A spring is positioned to apply a force to urge the plunger to the extended position. A lock member is connected to move with the plunger between the extended position and the locked position. The spring force is selected to enable the membrane, under static pressure of fluid within the container, to urge the plunger to the locked position, thereby engaging the lock member to interlock against operation of the door latch.
Arrangement for securing a panel closure
A closure includes a panel closing against a frame. A set of abutment surfaces for supporting the panel against applied forces is completed by a displaceable abutment block which selectively assumes an engaged state disposed between an abutment surface of the panel and an abutment surface of a strike jamb. The geometry of engagement is such that forces acting on the abutment block opposing opening of the panel are primarily compressive forces. Certain implementations additionally, or alternatively, employ abutment blocks for locking along the lintel or the threshold of the opening.
Water Resistant Slam Latch
A latch assembly is provided, which comprises a latch body comprising a first side, a second side opposite the first side, a slide lock receiving channel, and a cavity between the first side and the second side. The latch assembly includes a handle comprising a first pivotable portion joined to a first end of a transition region and a pawl engagement tab extending from a second end the transition region, the transition region including a pivot and the handle pivotably mounted in the cavity, and a removable a slide lock assembly.
Cylinder dry lock assembly
A door assembly includes a door having opposing first and second surfaces and a hole defined in the door and extending between the first and second surfaces, a cylinder lock mounted to the second surface at the hole, and a cylinder dry lock assembly mounted to the door at the hole adjacent the first surface. The cylinder dry lock assembly including a main body that defines a central orifice, a low-friction member received within the central orifice, and an actuation mechanism extending from the low-friction member and engageable with the cylinder lock. Actuating the cylinder lock rotates the actuation mechanism, and the cylinder dry lock assembly generates a sealed interface at the hole that prevents water from migrating between the first and second surfaces at the hole.
LOW CLOSURE FORCE MOTORIZED LATCH
A motorized appliance latch provides for a spring-biased strike grip that can be engaged and disengaged from the strike with low force but then locked in a close position during closing of the door to allow the strike to be retained against countervailing gasket compression forces. In this way, an arbitrarily low force may be required by the consumer to close or open the door when the door is unsealed by the motor.
WATERTIGHT DOOR OR WINDOW
A watertight door or window comprising a frame and a leaf mounted on the frame and arranged movably with respect thereto between an open position and closed position, and further comprising: a striker element arranged on the leaf, a locking element arranged on the frame and provided with a hook end designed to engage with the striker element so as to lock the leaf against the frame following closing of the leaf, and a striker actuating mechanism arranged on the leaf and able to be actuated when the leaf is in a closed position and the locking element is engaged with the striker element. The actuating mechanism is provided for releasing the striker element from a closed position, where the striker element is positioned inside a recess in the hook end of the locking element, to an open position, where the striker element is extracted from the recess in the hook end of the locking element. The actuating mechanism can be reset when the leaf is closed again.
