A method for retrofitting a roll door lock that enables both manual and remote wireless locking and unlocking of a roll door. More specifically, the retrofitted lock comprises an interior plate with a cylinder lock aperture, a motorhead gear coupled to a motor and rotationally secured within the housing, and a controller functionally coupled to the motor, wherein the controller may be commanded to operate the motor to lock the roll door lock by causing a blocking coupler edge to reduce the diameter of a ball-pin aperture, and unlock the roll door lock by withdrawing the blocking coupler edge.

SMART LOCKER

A smart locker includes electronics to operate a user interface, including a keypad, and to receive user commands via the keypad to lock or unlock the smart locker with an electronic lock. The smart locker also receives primary input power and provides direct charging power and wireless charging power for charging electronic devices. The smart locker also is capable of receiving secondary input power to operate the electronic lock in the absence of the primary input power.

Locking mechanism for a motor

A locking mechanism for a motor is provided. The locking mechanism includes a detent mounted on a shaft coupled to the motor, and a solenoid including an electromagnetic coil, a plunger, and a spring that holds the plunger at an extended state. The plunger engages the detent at the extended state when no voltage is applied, and the spring is configured to exert a predetermined force for the plunger to engage the detent to lock the shaft. The plunger retracts away from the detent to allow rotation of the motor shaft when a voltage is applied to the solenoid.

System for a lock closure, a lock for use with such a system, and a closure system

A system for a closure lock comprises a battery-powered remote module with a lock mechanism for operating the lock, the remote module communicating with a base station coupled to a closure controller, the base station able to send lock control signals to the remote module to operate the lock. The module is arranged to have an operation mode and a non-operation mode, power consumption in the non-operation mode being lower than that in the operation mode, and is further configured to switch between the modes based on instructions from the base station. In the non-operation mode, the module maintains a communication link with the base station based on a pre-established synchronisation protocol.

The invention provides reliability against interference between base station and remote module, whilst greatly limiting the power consumption of the remote module.
