LOCKING WEDGE FOR STORAGE DOOR
20190323265 · 2019-10-24 ·

According to the present disclosure, a storage facility includes a number of storage compartments and doors for controlling access to the storage compartments. The doors move along guide tracks between a lowered-closed position and a raised-opened position relative to respective entryways into the storage compartments. Latches are coupled to the doors for blocking movement of the doors at the selection of a user. One or more locks can be used with the doors to block access to the storage compartments.

DOOR LOCK AND PROCESS FOR INSTALLING DOOR LOCK

A door lock can include a latch housing and a movable hasp. The latch housing can be configured to be secured with a door. The movable hasp can engage a catch secured to a door frame. The latch is movable relative to latch housing between an engaged position blocking against movement of the door and a disengaged position allowing movement of the door. Penetration through the door can be aligned with a sensor of the door lock to permit monitoring.

Garage Door Window
20190257138 · 2019-08-22 ·

This invention is directed toward a window for a garage door panel, where the window has an opening that is surrounded by a body portion, and can be manufactured as part of the manufacture of a garage door panel, or retrofitted into an existing garage door panel. The window has a sliding door that can be slid open to allow for air ventilation, and has bars so that pets cannot escape through the window when it is open, and some combination of a sliding screen and optional security bars to keep insects out and keep pets in the garage. The optional security bars can be bolted or otherwise attached to the panel, thereby not only strengthening the panel but also making it harder for pets to escape and any burglars to enter.

CONTROLLABLE DOOR LOCK
20240167300 · 2024-05-23 ·

A storage lock for a storage door, the lock comprising a lock housing for mounting to the storage door or a storage frame supporting the door; and a lock mechanism arranged within the lock housing, the lock mechanism comprising a latch selectively operable between a locked position in which the latch is extended to engage with the other of the storage door and storage frame to block against opening of the storage door, and an unlocked position in which the latch is retracted to disengage from the other of the storage door and storage frame to allow the storage door to be opened for access to storage, and a latch control system selectively operable between a restricted position to block against operation of the latch out from the locked position, and an unrestricted position to permit operation of the latch out from the locked position to the unlocked position.

Closure locking system

A lock module comprising a housing, a lock pawl, and an actuator. The lock pawl may be moveable between an extended position and a retracted position, wherein the lock pawl extends from the housing by a greater distance in the extended position than in the retracted position. The actuator may be configured to selectively couple to the lock pawl, the lock module being in a locked configuration when the actuator is coupled to the lock pawl. The lock pawl may be configured to move in a first direction as a closure moves from a first position to a second position and the lock pawl may be configured to move in a second direction as the closure moves from the second position to the first position. The first direction may be opposite the second direction. The lock pawl may be configured to block movement of the closure when the lock module is in the locked configuration.

Overhead door lock

A lock assembly for an overhead door includes a lock bar and a spring clip receiver. The lock bar is configured to mount on and travel with the overhead door, and includes a track cover portion configured to encircle an overhead door guide track. The lock bar further includes a latch portion extending from the track cover portion. The spring clip receiver includes a spring clip configured to receive the latch portion of the lock bar, and a lock receiver having a pass-through hole for a lock shackle so that, when the overhead door is in a closed position, the lock shackle captures both the lock bar and the spring clip receiver to immobilize the overhead door. The lock assembly may further include an alignment bracket coupled to the lock bar defining an aperture configured to align with the pass-through hole in the lock receiver when the overhead door is in a closed position.

TRAILER ROLL DOOR AND LOCKING SYSTEM
20190226239 · 2019-07-25 ·

A door and locking system for a rear opening of a long bed trailer, the rear opening having a top edge, a bottom edge and first and second side edges, the door and locking system has a canvas door configured for mounting adjacent to the rear opening of the long bed trailer. The canvas door can move between a closed position in which the canvas door moves to close the rear opening and an open position in which the canvas door moves to open the rear opening. A locking system secured to the edges of the rear opening can move between a locked position, in which the locking system is in locking engagement with the canvas door in the closed position to secure the canvas door against the edges of the rear opening to close the opening for retaining fluidizable product in the long bed trailer and an unlocked position, in which the locking system is free from locking engagement with the canvas door to allow the canvas door to move into the open position.

Truck roll-up door internal lock release
10316555 · 2019-06-11 · ·

An internal release mechanism for a truck roll-up door closure to a vehicle compartment includes a lift arm disposed on the roll-up door inside the vehicle compartment having a stowed position and a deployed position, a first release mechanism coupled to the lift arm operable to bypass a door lock disposed outside the vehicle compartment in response to the lift arm being moved by an occupant inside the vehicle compartment from the stowed position to the deployed position, and a second release mechanism coupled to the lift arm operable to clear a mechanical door latch disposed outside of the vehicle compartment also in response to the lift arm being moved from the stowed position to the deployed position.

Lockable roll-up door assembly

A roll up door assembly is mountable in two tracks laterally spaced from one another, each track including a catch, the roll up door assembly including a door sized to be mountable and slidable along the tracks between a closed position and an opened position, the door being a roll up door including a plurality of slats extending between the tracks, one of the slats being a locking slat having an outer surface and an inner surface and defining a passage therethrough between the outer surface and the inner surface. A housing is attached to the outer surface of the locking slat, the housing defining an opening therethrough aligned with the passage. A key cylinder extends through the passage and the opening. A two-point latching assembly has two latches for selectively engaging the catches and is rotatably driven by a rear portion of the key cylinder adjacent the inner surface of the locking slat. A fixing member threadedly engages an outer surface of the key cylinder to secure the key cylinder to the housing, the fixing member being annular and being configured with the housing and the locking slat so that the fixing member has an axial length at least as long as a distance between an inner surface of the housing and the outer surface of the locking slat when the fixing member is positioned to secure the key cylinder to the housing.

LATCH ASSEMBLY FOR VERTICAL DOOR AND METHOD OF OPERATING
