Door Latch
A door latch for securing a door in a closed position. The door latch generally includes a vise-grip comprising a clamp pliers having first and second jaws and a securing stay that is attachable to a non-door surface coupled to the first jaw. The second jaw comprises a first bushing coupled to the second jaw through which a rod is configured to pass. The rod comprises a first end configured to seat within a channel of a door and a second threaded end configured to threadably couple to an adjustment knob and apply pressure to at least one of an optional spring and second bushing when the door latch is engaged. The channel may be on a channel plate coupled to the door and may comprise a raised edge on the back surface to facilitate engaging a hook at the rod's first.
Cooler lock
A cooler access control system locks a cooler when occurrence of an event is detected that requires limiting access to the inside of the cooler. Examples of such events include the loss of power to the cooler for a predetermined period of time, the opening of the cooler door for longer than an allowed time, the loss of functionality of a temperature probe and others. In an embodiment, a service mode is supported wherein the door is left unlocked despite the occurrence of such an event, to allow a stocker or other personnel to leave the cooler door open while stocking the cooler with product.
Cooler lock
A cooler access control system locks a cooler when occurrence of an event is detected that requires limiting access to the inside of the cooler. Examples of such events include the loss of power to the cooler for a predetermined period of time, the opening of the cooler door for longer than an allowed time, the loss of functionality of a temperature probe and others. In an embodiment, a service mode is supported wherein the door is left unlocked despite the occurrence of such an event, to allow a stocker or other personnel to leave the cooler door open while stocking the cooler with product.
Panel fastener
A panel fasteners (20) is disclosed in the form of a hook and cam assembly (21) having two side walls (24) with a boss (27) through which a cam shaft (28) is journalled. The cam shaft has a socket (29) and a round cam (30). A hook (32) is frictionally mounted in camming engagement with the cam. A leaf clutch spring (33) is mounted within a spring mounting notch (36) and in frictional engagement with a substantially round cam engagement hole (34) of the hook. To position the spring into the spring mounting notch and cam engagement hole the spring is pre-compressed prior to mounting it within the spring mounting notch by forcing it through a narrowing channel positioned adjacent the cam.
MAGNETIC PRIVACY LOCK CONTROL
The present invention describes a means for unlocking and/or locking a privacy lockset via a magnet that is affected by a ferrous metal object or another magnet and, a means whereby said magnet travels in a controlled motion when affected by a ferrous metal object or said other magnet. As well as a trigger to secure or release a lock and a means whereby the motion of said magnet moves said trigger, whereby a magnet or ferrous metal object can be used to unlock or lock a privacy lockset. Rotational, lateral, and/or thrust forces are configured to move the trigger. The present invention may apply to rim locks, mortise locks, sliding door locks, cam locks, cylinder locks, and non-keyed deadbolts. Various materials or door styles may be provided.
MAGNETIC PRIVACY LOCK CONTROL
The present invention describes a means for unlocking and/or locking a privacy lockset via a magnet that is affected by a ferrous metal object or another magnet and, a means whereby said magnet travels in a controlled motion when affected by a ferrous metal object or said other magnet. As well as a trigger to secure or release a lock and a means whereby the motion of said magnet moves said trigger, whereby a magnet or ferrous metal object can be used to unlock or lock a privacy lockset. Rotational, lateral, and/or thrust forces are configured to move the trigger. The present invention may apply to rim locks, mortise locks, sliding door locks, cam locks, cylinder locks, and non-keyed deadbolts. Various materials or door styles may be provided.
Plug door device
Provided is a small plug door device having a slide base is installed slidably in a vehicle width direction relative to a fixed base. A door drive mechanism for moving one door in a vehicle front-rear direction via a connecting portion has a drive portion including an electric motor, a drive wheel member, a follower wheel member, and an endless member, and is installed on the slide base. A guide portion guides a shaft portion provided on the connecting portion so as to move the shaft portion in a vehicle width direction. In a double-speed rail in which a pinion is disposed between two racks, one rack is connected to the slide base, the other rack is connected to the door side, and the pinion is connected to the connecting portion.
DOOR HANDLE ADAPTER WITH HIDDEN FASTENER
A door handle may be mounted to a door with concealed fasteners. The fasteners do not engage the door itself, but rather engage a top plate that is mounted to the door. The fasteners are inserted into a hidden portion of the door handle and generate an opposing force as they press against a bulging portion of the top plate to produce a force that retains the door handle in place. The force generated also urges the door handle into a bottom plate on an opposing side of the door handle. The bottom plate includes a first and second planar section. The second planar section of the bottom plate is received into a receiving slot of the door handle. As a result, the door handle is retained on the door without any visible fasteners.
Opposed hook sliding door lock
A sliding door lock system has a centrally-disposed operator. The operator has a casing with a trigger retractably extended from the casing. An operator mechanism disposed in the casing is operatively engaged with the trigger. A lock remotely disposed from the operator has a housing. A pair of opposed locking hooks extend from the housing and a spring biases each hook into an unlocked position. A block pivotably connected to the housing is configured to engage the hooks when the hooks are in a locked position. An elongate member operably connects the operator mechanism to the block.
Flight deck security pocket door decompression venting and crew escape system
A locking mechanism for a door panel to be positioned within and out of blocking relationship with an opening. Mechanism includes a deadbolt rotatably connected to the wall and having a curved configuration and a locking bracket connected to the door panel. The locking bracket extends from the door panel in an angular direction with respect to a plane of door panel. With door panel in a closed position and deadbolt in a first position, the locking bracket extends through the curved configuration. Deadbolt is in blocking relationship with the locking bracket in a direction along a plane of the door panel and is not in blocking relationship in a direction along the locking bracket. With door panel in closed position, deadbolt is in a second position not in blocking relationship with the locking bracket permitting door panel to move in a direction along a plane of the door panel.
