A locking module for selectively coupling a first component and a second component of a lockable device includes a locking member rotatable about an axis between a rest position and an actuated position. An engagement member is movable between a locked position and an unlocked position. The engagement member is configured to cooperate with the locking member to selectively release the second component.

An anti-theft apparatus that attaches to a shift lever and a foot rest of a motorcycle includes a shackle that is sized and shaped to extend from the foot rest to the shift lever. The shackle has an open end, a second end opposite of the open end, and two elongate arms that extend between the second end and the open end. A locking mechanism engages with the open end of the shackle to lock the shackle into place around the foot rest and the shift lever. A lock plate is coupled to one of the elongate arms of the shackle. A cross bar plate removably attaches to the open end of the shackle and is configured for being positioned between the locking mechanism and the shift lever when the apparatus is attached to the motorcycle. When the apparatus is attached to the motorcycle, the motorcycle shift lever cannot be operated, thereby deterring theft of the motorcycle.

A portable post office contained within an intermodal container is disclosed. Such a structure may include a rack movably secured to a track mounted in the ceiling of said container via a trolley. The rack may be configured to hold a plurality of post office boxes, each box having a lockable door facing the center aisle of the container, and an open end facing the rear of the rack. The rack may be positioned against an interior side wall of the container and secured in place via a locking mechanism to prevent access to the open ends of the post office boxes. An individual may release the locking mechanism and move the rack into the center aisle along the track to access the open ends of the post office boxes. The rack member may then be moved back along the track and re-secured against the side wall.

A wireless ultra-low power portable lock may be realized as a lock apparatus including: a locking mechanism having at least locked and unlocked states, the locking mechanism operable to provide physical resistance to being unlocked when in the locked state; an actuator operable to move the locking mechanism from the locked state to the unlocked state in response to a received signal; and a controlling unit configured to control the actuator and to receive one or more signals from one or more devices external to the lock apparatus.

The puck lock security hasp system includes a base, curved upright walls extending from the base, flanges extend outwardly from the curved upright walls, and a U-shaped lock. A standard puck lock can be secured on the base within a space between the curved walls. The U-shaped lock can be positioned and secured over the curved walls to block the keyhole of the puck lock. A lock for permanent attachment to a movable freight container cargo door as a replacement for a prior art hasp or a prior art keeper. The lock is configured for permanent attachment to the cargo door using pre-existing hole locations for the prior art hasp or keeper. The lock comprises a straight shackle and a c-shaped lock body and is configured to retain a door handle between the shackle and the back of the c-shaped lock body. The shackle is locked into the lock body using a shackle lock element that engages with a groove in the shackle. The shackle groove is perpendicular to the shaft of the shackle. The shackle lock element is pressed into the groove using by one or more springs in linear direction that is perpendicular to the length of the shackle and perpendicular to the groove, and released from the groove through by a lock module, which could be a lock cylinder or an electronic lock module. Axial movement of the shackle to prevent the shackle from being completely removed from the lock body is accomplished by a screw in the lock body that rides into a longitudinal slot in the shaft of the shackle.
