Locking assembly for electronic tablet and devices
A method for securing a portable electronic device having a housing to a substantially immovable object utilizing a locking assembly having a security rod or spike formed with an anchoring end separated axially by a protruding end, a locking device with an internal locking mechanism and a cable permanently attached to the locking device at one end, includes several steps. The steps include securedly fixing the anchoring end of the security rod or spike to the portable electronic device upon or through the housing, attaching an other end of the cable to the substantially immovable object and inserting the protruding end of the security rod into an opening in the locking device to actuate the internal locking mechanism and lock the locking device to the captive security rod. Locking the security rod to the locking device concurrently locks the portable electronic device to which it is anchored to the substantially immovable object.
TOOL-ADJUSTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE LOCKING APPARATUS
A tool-adjustable electronic device locking apparatus is configured to secure an electronic device and has a housing, a fixing member configured to be inserted into an anti-theft hole of the electronic device, a stage adjusting mechanism, and a driving mechanism. The stage adjusting mechanism includes a tool operated portion operated to adjust working stages. The driving mechanism selectively unfolds the fixing member to engage in the anti-theft hole based on a current one of the working stages. The working stages is adjusted through a tool by setting the tool operated portion on the stage adjusting mechanism, so as to prevent the working stages from being changed accidentally, ensure that the working stage is kept the same when the tool-adjustable electronic device locking apparatus is used on the same electronic device, and ensure an anti-theft effect.

Dock for a portable electronic device
A dock for a portable electronic device, the dock includes a base including one or more ports, a cradle defining an interior volume configured to house at least a portion of the portable electronic device, the cradle being pivotable relative to the base to change an orientation of the portable electronic device relative to the base, and a security apparatus configured to be inserted into a port of the portable electronic device upon insertion of the portable electronic device into the cradle to prohibit removal of the portable electronic device from the dock, the security apparatus including a data and power transmission apparatus that is electrically connected to the one or more ports.
Lock heads and mechanisms for mobile device security
A lock for computer security has housing comprising a bottom wall, at least one side wall and a front wall with a corner region defined adjacent to both the bottom wall and the at least one side wall. A combination-based locking assembly comprises a locking assembly body holding at least two locking elements including a main locking element and a movable locking element, both said locking elements being supported by the locking assembly body, and the main locking element extending from and away from the locking assembly body at the front wall of the lock housing. A driver is coupled to the movable locking element, configured to selectively move the movable locking element in frontwise and rearwise directions, and controlled by a locking mechanism. The locking assembly is secured to the housing at the corner region thereof, with the locking elements located directly adjacent both the bottom wall and the at least one side wall. A key-based lock enables overriding the combination-based locking assembly to unlock the movable locking element even while the combination lock is in a locked state.
SECURITY APPARATUS FOR THE FUNCTIONAL DISPLAY OF PORTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICES
A security apparatus for securing a portable electronic device comprises a support and a guide positioned within the support and defining a plurality of surface features. At least two holders are partially positioned between the guide and the support and define a plurality of complimentary surface features. A lock assembly is configured move between an unlocked state and a locked state. In an unlocked state, the at least two holders are enabled to move in a first direction that is away from the support and in an opposing second direction to move the at least two holders towards the support. In a locked state, the lock assembly moves the guide to clamp the at least two holders between the guide and the support to engage the surface features of the guide with those of the holders and inhibit movement of the at least two holders in the first direction.
