Motor vehicle lock
The invention relates to a motor vehicle lock comprising a locking mechanism provided with a rotary latch and at least one pawl, a rotary movement of the rotary latch can be blocked by means of the pawl, a drive device by means of which the pawl can be transferred from the locked position into a release position for the locking mechanism, and an adjusting device (9). A motor vehicle part (4) accommodating the vehicle lock can be moved from the closed position into an open position by means of the adjusting device (9). Said adjusting device (9) maintains the motor vehicle part (4) in the open position such that the motor vehicle part (4) can be prevented from opening automatically from the open position.
Power door presenter with latching feature
A power door presenter system for pivoting a vehicle door relative to a vehicle body between a closed position and a partially open deployed position includes a presenter assembly mounted to one of the vehicle body and the vehicle door with an auxiliary striker fixed to the other one of the vehicle body and the vehicle door. The presenter assembly has an extensible member configured for movement between retracted and extended positions corresponding to the closed and deployed positions and an auxiliary latch mechanism moveable between latched engagement with the auxiliary striker when the vehicle door is indicated as not being under manual control of a user to allow automated return of the vehicle door to the closed position and unlatched engagement from the auxiliary striker when the vehicle door is indicated as being under manual control of the user to allow the door to be moved to a fully opened position.
Log wrapper safety device
A device for securing logs from harvested timber to a transport vehicle, or logging truck, using log wrappers. The log wrapper securement device can be located in the inspection cavity of a forestry grapple. The forestry grapple is attached to a log loader. The log wrapper securement device includes a base plate sized and shaped to replace the inspection plate covering the inspection cavity. The base plate includes a slot sized and shaped to receive a portion of a chain end link or other chain links of the log wrapper, which can be inserted manually. The loader operator can remotely control the actuator to secure the chain link and release it, once the log wrapper is positioned over the other side of the logging truck. The log wrapper securement device can potentially reduce injuries and save lives.

DOUBLE ACTION VEHICLE LATCH
A closure system for a vehicle provided with a vehicle body and a closure is provided. The closure system may include an actuator, a catch, and a release lever. The actuator may be configured to move in a first direction between a first actuator position and a second actuator position. The catch may be coupled to the actuator and configured to move from a first catch position to a second catch position to move the closure form a first closure position to a second closure position when the actuator moves from the first actuator position to the second actuator position. The release lever may be coupled to the actuator and configured to move the catch from the second catch position to a third catch position when the actuator moves from the second actuator position to a third actuation position.
Adaptive door sealing using power cinching latch
The invention controls a power cinching function of a motor vehicle door latch in order to improve door seal performance under conditions wherein vibrations could otherwise reduce seal effectiveness. With the door latched closed in a flush condition, the vehicle speed is compared to a slow-speed threshold. When the vehicle speed is greater than the slow-speed threshold, then a vehicle vibration parameter is compared to a vibration threshold. When the vibration parameter is greater than the vibration threshold, then the power cinching function is activated to move the door to to a subflush condition which increases a compression of the seal between the door and a vehicle door frame. When the door is in the subflush condition, the vehicle speed continues to be compared to the slow-speed threshold, and when the vehicle speed is less than the slow-speed threshold then the door is released back to the flush condition.
