Systems and methods for automated operation and handling of autonomous trucks and trailers hauled thereby
A system and method for operation of an autonomous vehicle (AV) yard truck is provided. A processor facilitates autonomous movement of the AV yard truck, and connection to and disconnection from trailers. A plurality of sensors are interconnected with the processor that sense terrain/objects and assist in automatically connecting/disconnecting trailers. A server, interconnected, wirelessly with the processor, that tracks movement of the truck around and determines locations for trailer connection and disconnection. A door station unlatches/opens rear doors of the trailer when adjacent thereto, securing them in an opened position via clamps, etc. The system computes a height of the trailer, and/or if landing gear of the trailer is on the ground and interoperates with the fifth wheel to change height, and whether docking is safe, allowing a user to take manual control, and optimum charge time(s). Reversing sensors/safety, automated chocking, and intermodal container organization are also provided.

Motor vehicle locking device
The invention is directed to a motor vehicle locking device, comprising a motor vehicle locking module and an electronics module, said electronics module being spatially and functionally separated from the motor vehicle locking module, wherein the motor vehicle locking module and the electronics module are connected to exchange data and optional are connected regarding power supply, the motor vehicle locking device further comprising a first plug connector for connecting the electronics module directly to the motor vehicle locking module to establish a mechanical and data connection between the modules and optionally a power supply connection between the two modules, and wherein the first plug connector is designed to be plugged in the modules to established said connections and plugged out of the modules to sever said connections.
Door system with door presenter control
A door system presenter assembly and method for controlling movement of a motor vehicle closure panel between a closed position, a presented position and an open position. Presenter assembly includes an electric motor and a clutch assembly having an engaged state when electric motor is energized and a disengaged state when electric motor is de-energized. A presenter unit has a presenter lead screw and an extensible member moveable between a retracted position corresponding to the closed position and an extended position corresponding to the presented position. Presenter lead screw is rotatably driven when electric motor is energized and when clutch assembly is in the engaged state to move the extensible member to the extended position. Extensible member is automatically biased to the retracted position by a presenter biasing member when the electric motor is de-energized and when the clutch assembly is in the disengaged state.
Actuation Device with Movable Switching Element, Vehicle and Method for Actuation
The invention relates to an actuation device (3) for installing on a vehicle part (2), in particular in the form of a door or a hatch, having an electric switch means (30) with at least one switch element (31) for initiating a vehicle function and having a housing unit (10) with at least one first and second housing section (11, 12), wherein the second housing section (12) can be moved from a rest position (I) into an actuation position (II) at least in some regions relative to the first housing section (11) in order to actuate the switch element (31). The invention additionally relates to a vehicle (1) and to an actuation method (100).
VEHICULAR EXTERIOR REARVIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY
A vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a ground illumination module or turn signal indicator that includes at least one light source operable to emit light when electrically powered. A near field communication device communicates utilizing a near field communication (NFC) standard. Responsive to a near field communication-enabled device being present exterior the vehicle, the near field communication device wirelessly receives a communication from the near field communication-enabled device and determines whether the near field communication-enabled device is an authorized device. Responsive to determining that the near field communication-enabled device is an authorized device, the near field communication device authenticates the near field communication-enabled device as an authorized device for communication with the near field communication device. When the near field communication-enabled device is within a threshold distance to the vehicle, the at least one light source is electrically powered.
