DOOR LOCK CABLE AND TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY FOR A VEHICLE AND METHOD THEREOF
A door lock cable and trim panel assembly for a motor vehicle includes a door lock cable and a trim panel assembly. The door lock cable includes a sheath assembly having a sheath tube and a cable core, a casing cap attached to an upper end of the sheath tube and an end insert element affixed to the cable core. The end insert element is inserted into an inside blind bore of a lock knob. In addition, the trim panel assembly includes a knob hole and a trim-interface slot transversely protruded from an inner surface of the trim panel assembly. The trim-interface slot has an upper and lower portion being engaged with the casing cap of the door lock cable.
Systems and methods for rear door lock and window block-out
A window and lock control system of a vehicle includes a window control module configured to actuate a window actuator based on a second signal from a power window switch of the rear door when a first signal from a block-out switch of the vehicle is in a first state. When the first signal is in a second state, the window control module does not actuate the window actuator based on the second signal from the power window switch. A lock control module actuates a lock actuator and locks and unlocks the rear door based on a third signal from a power door lock (PDL) switch of the rear door when the first signal is in the first state. When the first signal is in the second state, the lock control module selectively does not actuate the lock actuator based on the third signal from the PDL switch.

STORAGE DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
A lock mechanism includes a lock member that can take a locked position in which the lock member contacts a lid to lock the lid, and an unlocked position in which the lock member is spaced apart from the lid to release the locking, a button that pushes the lock member to cause the lock member to swing to the unlocked position, and a support member that supports both the lock member and the button. The support member has a stopper for locking the lock member in the locked position. The stopper is integrated with the support member. The button is spaced apart from the lock member when the lock member is in the locked position.

HANDLE DEVICE OF VEHICLE
An inside handle device of a vehicle includes a handle unit and a cable unit. In the handle unit, an operation member including an operation handle is rotatably connected to a handle base. The cable unit movably holds one end of a cable device configured to connect the operation member to a latch device fixed to a door on a cable cover. The cable cover has a first locking portion formed at a cable introduction edge and a second locking portion formed at an opposite-end edge. The first locking portion is rotatably locked to the handle base with the opposite-end edge as a rotating end. The second locking portion is elastically locked in a state of being rotated around the first locking portion.

Latch mechanism with status indicator
A latch mechanism is provided that includes a housing, a cap, and at least one indicator. The cap may include a central axis and may be mounted for selective rotational movement relative to the housing about the central axis between a latched position and an unlatched position. The at least one indicator may be interposed between the cap and the housing, such that the cap is in covering relationship to at least a portion of the at least one indicator. The at least one indicator may also be mounted for radial movement outwardly from the central axis relative to the cap as the cap is rotated from the latched position to the unlatched position such that the cap is no longer in covering relationship to the portion of the at least one indicator.

CABLE FOR VEHICLE DOOR
A cable for a vehicle door includes: a locking knob movable in a vertical direction between an unlocking position where the locking knob advances from an inside of the vehicle door to an inside of a vehicle interior and a locking position where the locking knob retreats from the inside of the vehicle interior to the inside of the vehicle door; a conduit having one end fixed to the vehicle door or a fixing member provided on the vehicle door, and the other end fixed to a door locking device capable of switching the vehicle door to the unlocked state or the locked state, and including an insertion hole formed to penetrate from the one end to the other end; and a core wire slidably inserted into the insertion hole and connect the locking knob and a locking/unlocking lever.
