DOOR LOCKING SYSTEM
A locking system for a door, including a primary locking mechanism and a secondary locking mechanism, in which the primary locking mechanism includes an electrical actuator that causes a first plate and a second plate to be magnetically attracted to one another when actuated such that rotation of a doorknob effects a corresponding rotation of the spindle, and in which the secondary locking mechanism includes a detent that is formed in a knob collar and an aperture that extends through a rotator collar; and a pin that is translatable through the aperture to be disposed in the detent of the knob collar, when the secondary locking mechanism is in an unlocked condition, such that the knob collar and the rotator collar are rotatably fixed to one another.
Sludge containment vessel and method for use in concert with a vacuum truck in spill containment
A container for use with a vacuum truck includes a container body. The container body defines a door opening and a container closure including a door panel sized to fit the door opening. The door panel is hingedly attached relative to rear frame elements at the hinge side and is movable to occupy the door opening. The door panel defines a drain port under a horizontal beam. The drain port includes a stopcock having an open and a closed state. The stopcock is selectably movable from the open to the closed state or from the closed to the open state. The container body defines at least two additional ports situated above the midpoints of the frames and includes fittings to engage vacuum hoses such that any volume the vacuum truck draws through one of the hoses, the container body draws a corresponding volume through the other of the two ports.
Straight action flush lock for casement window and method of operating the same
A low profile actuating window lock for casement windows having a longitudinal slot in a sidewall of the casing for the lock, wherein an actuator including a fork component translates within the slot in a direction opposite movement of the handle, the handle pivotable about a restrictor arm that pivots relative to the casing, allowing the handle to rotate from the locked position to the unlocked position with low clearance from the window frame. The pivot points of the handle and restrictor arm configuration allow for an over center linkage that prevents back driving the casement window lock.
Locking device
A guard locking element (4) actuatable by means of an electric drive (6). By means of the electric drive (6), the guard locking element (4) can be brought into a blocking position such that an actuator (2) of a safety switch is locked by said guard locking element. The guard locking element (4) is connected to the electric drive (6) by means of a coupling (11) such that a rotary motion of the electric drive (6) is converted into a purely translatory motion of the guard locking element (4).
Gate lock
A gate lock for locking single drive or double drive gates includes a mounting bracket, a faceplate, a locking pin and a latch bar. The mounting bracket is connected to a first fence portion while the latch bar is connected to the second fence portion. The faceplate is connected to the mounting bracket through the use of a fastener positioned within the faceplate's central aperture. The faceplate is capable of being rotated about the central aperture. The faceplate includes locking apertures for receiving padlocks. The faceplate, mounting bracket, and latch bar each include apertures for receiving the locking pin. The faceplate and the latch bar can each include a plurality of apertures for receiving the locking pin. In the locked position, the latch bar is positioned between the mounting bracket and the first fence portion, the locking pin is positioned within the locking aperture of the latch bar, and the faceplate has a padlock positioned within each locking aperture. In the unlocked position, at least one locking aperture of the faceplate does not have a padlock, the locking pin is positioned within the locking aperture of the faceplate, and the latch bar can be removed from between the mounting bracket and the first fence portion. The gate lock is actuated between a locked and unlocked position through the sliding of the locking pin's handle within the slot on the mounting bracket.
DOOR SILENCING MECHANISM SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
A door silencing mechanism and methods to eliminate latch noise associated with a door latch having a spring latch bolt and a bolt housing are described. This mechanism and methods can include an actuator having a first end and a second end and moveable between a first position and a second position. This mechanism can also include a device coupled to the first end of the actuator to maintain the spring latch bolt within a bolt housing using the second end of the actuator when the device holds the actuator in the first position and to release the spring latch bolt from within the bolt housing by moving the second end of the actuator in response to the actuator moving to the second position in response to contact with a doorjamb.
USE OF SOUND DAMPENING MATERIAL FOR NOISE REDUCTION
Hardware for a door, latch assemblies, exit device assemblies, and jalousies are disclosed herein. Hardware for a door includes at least one component formed from a material configured to dampen sound produced in use of the hardware. An exit device assembly includes at least one component formed from a material configured to dampen sound produced in use of the exit device assembly. A jalousie includes at least one component formed from a material configured to dampen sound produced in use of the jalousie.
DOOR LOCKING DEVICE
Adjustment device of the opening of a door of the type including two opposite members apt to be mounted to a door and to a post, respectively, and provided with housing holes of screws for the engagement with a surface, one of the bodies including a solid body except for a cavity provided on one of the side walls, the other one of the bodies including an outside shell internally provided with a housing cavity of a sliding body, characterised in that adjustment means of the movement of the sliding body are furthermore provided, arranged perpendicularly to the sliding body housed within a cavity provided on the top surface of the outer shell as well as dampening and thrust means of the sliding body.
