The door is configured to open from, slide into, revolve within, or move in some other non-limiting equivalent way from or relative to the frame(s).

Hinged panel locking assembly

A locking assembly for locking panels of a hinged panel assembly together. The hinged panel assembly has a second movable panel rotatably mounted to a first fixed panel by a hinge. The locking assembly is intended for selectively holding the second panel in position relative to the first panel in a folded configuration. The locking assembly includes a male assembly and a female assembly. The male assembly is configured to be rotatably mounted to the first panel, and has a tab rotationally fixed relative to a rotatable actuator, with the tab and the actuator configured to be disposed on opposing sides of the first panel. The female assembly is configured to be fixedly mounted to the second panel. The female assembly has a recess configured to receive the tab. The locking assembly is rotatable between a locked position and an unlocked position.

Cowls and latching assemblies for cowls on outboard marine propulsion devices

A cowl for an outboard marine propulsion device having an internal combustion engine. The cowl comprises a first cowl portion; a second cowl portion that mates with the first cowl portion to enclose the internal combustion engine; a service door on the second cowl portion, wherein the service door is positionable in an open position and in a closed position; and a carrying handle on the second cowl portion, wherein the carrying handle is accessible when the service door is in the open position and inaccessible when the service door is in the closed position. A plurality of latches are spaced apart around the perimeter. The latches latch the second cowl portion to the first cowl portion. An actuator assembly actuates each of the plurality of latches. The actuator assembly can be actuated by movement of the carrying handle.

DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
20250129645 · 2025-04-24 · ·

A door lock assembly, including a cam, a slider and a pin assembly. The cam can rotate clockwise or counterclockwise about a camshaft, and the slider fits and engages with the cam, so when the cam rotates, the slider reciprocates in the length direction of the slider with the rotation. The slider is provided with a movement guide groove which defines a conventional movement path including a first and second segment of the conventional movement path. An end of the pin assembly can move relative to the slider in the conventional movement path with the reciprocation of the slider. The movement guide groove further defines an alternative movement path, and the end of the pin assembly can move relative to the slider in the first segment of the conventional movement path and the alternative movement path defined by the movement guide groove with the reciprocation of the slider, but does not move in the second segment of the conventional movement path.

HANDLE MECHANISMS

A handle mechanism includes a gear drive having an interior end and an exterior end; an inside handle fixed to the interior end; a button; a finger; a handle drive; an outside handle; and a spring. The button has an interior end and an exterior end, which is positioned within the exterior end of the gear drive. The handle drive is positioned within the exterior end of the gear drive and is rotatable relative thereto. The outside handle and the handle drive rotate together. The outside handle moves between a first position, wherein it is constrained from rotation, and a second position. The finger is fixed to the exterior end of the button, which moves between a first position, wherein the finger causes the gear drive and the handle drive to rotate together, and a second position. The spring biases the button and the outside handle toward their first positions.

High collision force resistant gate

Techniques described herein relate to a method for installing a gate. The gate may include a gate body moveable between a gate open position and a gate closed position; a locking component configured to move between a locking open position and a locking closed position, wherein the locking component is configured to prevent the gate body from moving from the gate closed position to the gate open position when the locking component is in the locking closed position a plurality of grounding agents, wherein at least a first grounding agent of the grounding agents is coupled to the locking component; wherein, when a collision force is applied to a side of the gate body, at least two of the plurality of grounding agents and the locking component are configured to maintain the gate in the gate closed position.

Latch apparatus

A latch (10, 218, 336) is usable to selectively hold a closure member such as a door (188) in a closed position. The latch includes a body (12, 338) which has a manually engageable handle (18, 248, 340) on a front side thereof. A shank (30, 250, 342) is in rotationally movable connection with the handle. The shank extends through the body and into an indexing cam bore (58) on the back side of the body. The shank is both axially and rotationally movable about a cam bore axis (62). An indexing cam (88, 200, 222) is connected to the shank. The shank is in operative connection with a striker (102, 220, 376). The striker is rotationally movable responsive to rotation of the handle between a latched position and unlatched position when the shank is in a second axial position. When the shank is in a first axial position, the shank is held in a fixed rotational position by the indexing cam, and the striker is held in the latched position. A cam bolt (164) is movably engageable with the striker to hold the striker in the latched position. The cam bolt is in operative connection with a lock cylinder (142). The lock cylinder is rotatable in engagement with a correct key to selectively position the cam bolt.
