Locking mechanism and locking body assembly for magnetic lock, and the magnetic lock
11428027 · 2022-08-30 · ·

The present invention relates to a locking mechanism for a magnetic lock and including a locking body assembly. The locking mechanism includes a lock latch and a slide bar switch that move between an active and non-active positions. The lock latch cannot move freely in the active position, but can in the non-active position. The lock latch receives a magnet, and can move freely through magnetic force action. The locking body assembly includes a locking body and a locking plate. The locking body has a housings that form a cavity. When the locking mechanism and lock latch are fixed in the cavity, a hook portion of the lock latch can extend out of or retract into the cavity as the lock latch pivots, thereby engaging or disengaging with the locking plate, and either locking or unlocking the latch. The magnetic lock includes a key and the locking body assembly.

High security lock for door

A high security locking system can be used in a conventional pivot door adapted for use with a latch and deadbolt lock combination. The high security system can be a multi-point lock, received in a recess formed in a locking edge side of a door stile, cooperating with a linkage or other mechanism in a conventional deadbolt/location. The lock can be actuated with a keyed cylinder and thumb turn combination.

ENERGY-GENERATING WINDOW AND DOOR LATCH ASSEMBLIES AND ALARM SYSTEM POWERED THEREBY

An alarm system includes a latch assembly having a movable element mounted on one of an entry and a structural element, and a fixed element mounted on the other of the entry and the structural element, wherein the movable element is movable between an engaged position with the fixed element and a disengaged position from the fixed element. A magnet is provided in one of the movable element and the fixed element, and a coil is provided in the other of the moveable element and the fixed element. The magnet and the coil are positioned relative to each other so that an electric current is induced in the coil by the magnet when the movable element is moved between the engaged position and the disengaged position. An energy harvesting circuit connected to the coil converts the induced electric current into a supply voltage that powers the alarm system.

Double lock dual action gravity latch

A double lock, dual action gravity latch device to secure a gate in a closed position comprising a latch assembly including a pivotal latch member movable between a latched and unlatched position, a keeper assembly including a striker pin to maintain the gate in the closed position when the pivotal latch member in the latched position, a latch lock assembly including a lock assembly with a first lock and a second lock each independently movable between a locked position and an unlocked position disposed on opposite sides of the gate to selectively move a lock subassembly from a locked position to an unlocked position when either the first lock or second lock is moved from the locked position to the unlocked position, and move the lock subassembly from the unlocked position to the locked position when the unlocked lock is moved from the unlocked position to the locked position and a first latch actuator and a second latch actuator each movable between a first position and a second position disposed on opposite sides of the gate to selectively move the pivotal latch member when either the first lock or the second lock is moved from the locked position to the unlocked position moving the lock subassembly from the locked position to the unlocked position such that when either the first actuator assembly or the second actuator assembly is moved from the first position to the second position the pivotal latch member is moved from the latched position to the unlatched position to allow the gate to be opened.

Interlock for Enclosures

An interlock for an enclosure can include a primary interlock activator that translates a rod assembly upon movement of a primary door of the enclosure and a secondary interlock activator. The secondary interlock activator can be configured to be one of translated or rotated relative to the enclosure, by the rod assembly, to move a latch hook of the secondary interlock activator between engaged and disengaged positions. The secondary interlock activator can be configured to be placed in the engaged position by the translation of the rod assembly, when the primary door is closed, to prevent the secondary door from being opened. The primary interlock activator can be configured to be placed in the disengaged position by the translation of the rod assembly, when the primary door is open, to allow the secondary door to be opened.

ELECTRONIC LOCKING APPARATUS FOR A SWING DOOR
20210355710 · 2021-11-18 ·

An electronic locking apparatus for an entryway, having a linkage coupled to an entryway frame case, and a solenoid associated with the case, the solenoid is configured to selectively engage with the linkage. The linkage is movable between a locked position blocking movement of a latch bolt from the latched position to the unlatched position and an unlocked position allowing movement of the bolt to the unlatched position

Domestic electrical appliance and door latch therefor
11781345 · 2023-10-10 · ·

A door latch for a domestic electrical appliance wherein the door latch comprises a rotary gripper which, on closing of a door, can be transferred from a release position into a gripping position by rotation in a rotational plane, and an electrically controllable locking mechanism having a movably arranged blocking element which, in the gripping position of the rotary gripper, can be fixed in a blocking position in which the blocking element cooperates with the rotary gripper to block the movement of the rotary gripper both from the gripping position into the release position and from the gripping position into a yielding position. The rotary gripper forms a gripping mouth which in the gripping position is oriented to hold captive a closing shackle which, on closing of the door, moves relatively closer to the rotary gripper along a closing path and arranged for a yielding movement into the yielding position.
