A fixed sash retainer system for a fenestration unit is disclosed. The retainer system includes a first and a second coupling member. The second coupling member is resiliently flexible between a first position and a second position. The second coupling member is configured to engage the first coupling member when in the first position and to disengage when in the second position. The second coupling member has a key feature configured to cooperate with the one of the sash and the frame to define a key slot. The key slot is configured to receive and engage a key that selectively retains the second coupling member in the second position.

Latch assembly

A latch assembly includes a chassis, a latch bolt moveably mounted on the chassis and having a closed position for retaining a striker and an open position for releasing the striker, a pawl having an engaged position at which the pawl is engaged with the latch bolt to hold the latch bolt in the closed position and a disengaged position at which the pawl is disengaged from the latch bolt, thereby allowing the latch bolt to move to the open position, an eccentric arrangement defining an eccentric axis and a pawl axis remote from the eccentric axis. The eccentric arrangement is rotatable about the eccentric axis, and the pawl is rotatable about the pawl axis. When the pawl moves from the engaged position to the disengaged position, the eccentric arrangement rotates in one of a clockwise and a counter-clockwise direction about the eccentric axis. With the pawl in the engaged position, a force applied to the pawl by the latch bolt creates a turning moment on the eccentric arrangement in the one of the clockwise and counter-clockwise direction, and the eccentric arrangement is prevented from rotating in said one of the clockwise and counter-clockwise direction by a moveable abutment.

Closure, particularly for closing construction and technological apertures

A closure, particularly for closing construction and technological apertures, the principle of which consists in that on the bottom side of the cover of the closing hole a rocker arm is pivotally mounted, the functional part of which in the closed position of the cover rests on the opposite element, which is anchored in the closing hole. The rocker arm is pivotally attached on a pin that is anchored by means of brackets to the bottom part of the cover. The axis of the pin, on which the rocker arm is mounted, may be either parallel to the longitudinal axis of the closing hole or perpendicular to it. The rocker arm and the rocker lug are balanced relative to the pin so that the closure is maintained in a closed position.

LOCKING MECHANISM AND LOCKING BODY ASSEMBLY FOR MAGNETIC LOCK, AND THE MAGNETIC LOCK
20180363328 · 2018-12-20 ·

The present invention relates to a locking mechanism for a magnetic lock and including a locking body assembly. The locking mechanism includes a lock latch and a slide bar switch that move between an active and non-active positions. The lock latch cannot move freely in the active position, but can in the non-active position. The lock latch receives a magnet, and can move freely through magnetic force action. The locking body assembly includes a locking body and a locking plate. The locking body has a housings that form a cavity. When the locking mechanism and lock latch are fixed in the cavity, a hook portion of the lock latch can extend out of or retract into the cavity as the lock latch pivots, thereby engaging or disengaging with the locking plate, and either locking or unlocking the latch. The magnetic lock includes a key and the locking body assembly.

A gate latch assembly includes a base frame, a front member, a back member, and a moving plate. The base frame is configured to attach to a gate post. The front member is configured to mount to the base frame. The front member includes a movable hook configured to engage a striker bar in a latched position and disengage a striker bar in an unlatched position. The back member is configured to mount to the base frame. The moving plate includes a first end attached to the back member and a second end protruding into the front member. The moving plate is movable to disengage the movable hook from the striker bar.

Energy-generating window and door latch assemblies and alarm system powered thereby

An alarm system includes a latch assembly having a movable element mounted on one of an entry and a structural element, and a fixed element mounted on the other of the entry and the structural element, wherein the movable element is movable between an engaged position with the fixed element and a disengaged position from the fixed element. A magnet is provided in one of the movable element and the fixed element, and a coil is provided in the other of the moveable element and the fixed element. The magnet and the coil are positioned relative to each other so that an electric current is induced in the coil by the magnet when the movable element is moved between the engaged position and the disengaged position. An energy harvesting circuit connected to the coil converts the induced electric current into a supply voltage that powers the alarm system.
