ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND LOCKING MECHANISM
According to the present disclosure, there is provided an electronic device including: a supporting body; a movable body provided in a movable manner with respect to the supporting body; and a locking mechanism configured to lock the movable body to the supporting body. The locking mechanism includes a locking member provided on the supporting body and configured to lock the movable body, a manipulating member connected to the locking member and provided such that the manipulating member is able to be moved between a locking position at which the movable body is locked by the locking member and a releasing position at which the locking of the movable body by the locking member is released, and a holding member configured to hold the manipulating member at the locking position or at the releasing position in accordance with a position of the movable body with respect to the supporting body.
Latch
A latch that is waterproof or water-resistant so as to resist the entry of water through the latch. The latch can be a slam latch having a pawl with a shaft. A sealing element, for example, a collar and/or an O-ring, can be placed around the shaft of the pawl to resist water from entering through the latch. The pawl can also enclose the cavity in which the latch handle is maintained so water cannot enter through the cavity. Other measures, such as a gasket and selective welding, can also be implemented to improve the water-resistance of the latch.
OVERHEAD STORAGE BIN LATCH SYSTEM
A latch system that includes a paddle button assembly having a button that is movable between a home position and an actuation position, a latch assembly that includes a striker assembly and a hook assembly, and a cable that extends between the paddle button assembly and the latch assembly. Movement of the button from the home position to the actuation position moves the cable, thereby disengaging the hook assembly and the striker assembly.
SAFE LOCKING MECHANISMS AND RELATED APPARATUS
Safes and related locking assemblies, mechanisms, and enclosures. In some embodiments, the locking mechanism may comprise one or more fixed locking members, such as studs or protruding brackets, mounted on or otherwise coupled to the body of the safe or other enclosure, such as a box, building, vehicle, trailer or the like. One or more actuation members may be moveably coupled with a door of the enclosure. At least a portion of the at least one actuation member, such as an engagement member, may be configured to selectively engage the locking member and lock the door in a closed configuration. In some embodiments, a recessed frame may be inset, at least in part, from an outer frame of the body to receive the door therein, and one or more of the locking members may be fixedly coupled with the recessed frame.
