Mechanical assist mechanism for active pedestrian safety latch
A latch assembly for driving a closure panel from a closed panel position to an open panel position. The latch assembly comprises: a latch mechanism having a first latch element for retaining a mating latch component in a latched position and for moving the mating latch component from the latched position to an unlatched position when released, the movement of the first latch element biased towards the unlatched position by a latch biasing element; and an actuation system having: a mechanical energy storage system having a device for storing mechanical potential energy for assisting the latch biasing element in moving the mating latch component from the latched position to the unlatched position; a mechanical advantage system having a plurality of advantage elements for engaging the device, such that movement of the plurality of advantage elements is associated with a trigger force and cooperation of the plurality of advantage elements provides for amplification of the trigger force as an initiating force to release the stored mechanical potential energy; and a trigger system configured to provide the trigger force to release the stored mechanical potential energy.

Fastening devices for explosion-proof enclosures
An enclosure can include a top enclosure portion having a top flange and a first top engagement feature. The enclosure can also include a bottom enclosure portion mechanically coupled to the top enclosure portion, where the bottom enclosure portion has a bottom flange that mechanically couples to the top flange and a first bottom engagement feature that mechanically couples to the first top engagement feature. The enclosure can further include a first fastening device mechanically and movably coupled to the first top engagement feature and the first bottom engagement feature. The first fastening device, in an engaged position, can maintain a flame path between the top flange and the bottom flange. The first fastening device, in a disengaged position, can fail to maintain a flame path between the top flange and the bottom flange.

PORTABLE CONTAINER AND ASSOCIATED COUPLING ASSEMBLY
A portable container, of the type of a suitcase, a trunk, a crate, a trolley, and the like, comprising a first shell portion and a second shell portion which are mutually articulated and can move between a configuration for closing an internal compartment and at least one open configuration for free access to the compartment; a safety device is coupled to the shell portions; the container also comprises an assembly for coupling the device to at least the first shell portion; the assembly is provided with: at least two inserts which are stably inserted in respective seats a slider, coupled to the device, a profiled element which is rigidly supported by the inserts and forms a guiding track for the slider, means for the rigid anchoring of the slider to the profiled element.
Systems and methods for linkage controlling access panel on commercial aircraft
Various techniques are provided for a high clearance hinge linkage. In one example, a system includes a hinge linkage configured to couple to an aircraft beam to an aircraft panel. The hinge linkage includes an aircraft beam fitting configured to couple to a web of the aircraft beam and be disposed between an upper flange and a lower flange of the aircraft beam, an aircraft panel fitting coupled to the aircraft panel, and a plurality of links. The plurality of links couple the aircraft beam fitting to the aircraft panel fitting and are configured to articulate to move the aircraft panel between at least a closed position and an open position. In certain examples, an edge of the aircraft panel is substantially aligned with a portion of the aircraft beam web in the closed position. Additional systems and related methods are also provided.

PREVENTING FINGER OF A USER FROM PINCH IN A DOOR GAP
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method for preventing a finger of a user from pinch in a door gap. The method comprises detecting a position of one or more fingers of a user using at least one sensor mounted on a door, determining whether the position of the one or more fingers of the user is in a door gap of the door, generating a signal to stop the moving panel of the door based on the determination that the position of the one or more fingers of the user is in the door gap of the door, transmitting the signal to a door stopper mounted on the door, and preventing a closure of the door by maintaining a distance between the frame and the moving panel of the door based on the signal.
The corresponding system and computer-readable storage medium is also disclosed.
