The locking apparatus includes a body, an actuator, a lifting member, at least a portion of the lifting member being configured to be raised or lowered relative to the body according to an output of the actuator, the lifting member comprising a contact surface configured to restrict movement of the openable element, and a strap coupled to the body and to the lifting member, the strap configured to permit the lifting member to flex based at least in part upon contact between the lifting member and the openable element and to transfer energy received at the lifting member into the body of the locking apparatus into a surface to which the locking apparatus is mounted.

There are provided emergency exit window systems. In one form, there is provided an emergency exit window system that includes: a frame; a sash pivotally carried by the frame so as to pivot between a closed position in which the sash is flush with the frame, and an open position permitting human egress through the frame; and a locking mechanism adapted for locking the window sash in the closed position. The locking mechanism may include a locking arm movably carried by the sash, wherein the locking arm is movable relative to the sash between a lock position and an unlock position. Further, the locking mechanism may include at least one biasing member acting between the locking arm and the sash to bias the locking arm toward the lock position; an inwardly projecting locking catch fixedly carried by the frame; and an inwardly projecting safety guard movably carried by the frame.

When the main spar (10) is in the watertight position, the watertight gap is equal to the length of the watertight side of the auxiliary closing wedge (111). The invention also provides a watertight system and a method.

A system for fastening a cover to a body of an explosion-proof enclosure using a plurality of fastening devices. Each fastening device can include a first load distributing member disposed on a body flange of a body of the explosion-proof enclosure, and a second load distributing member disposed on a cover flange of a cover of the explosion-proof enclosure. A fastening device can also include a securing member having a top end disposed on the first load distributing member and a bottom end disposed on the second load distributing member. A fastening device can further include a cam rotatably coupled to and positioned atop the first load distributing member.

The device is not built into or integral with the drawer or the frame of the dresser, cabinet or desk.

An exit device assembly includes a pushbar assembly configured for mounting to an egress side of the door, a trim configured for mounting to a non-egress side of the door, at least one remote latch mechanism on the egress side of the door, a latch control mechanism mounted to the door for manipulating the at least one remote latch mechanism, a key mechanism on the non-egress side of the door separate from the trim, and a trim lock device on the egress side of the door. The trim lock device is operable to prevent ingress through the door via the trim, while restricted ingress is provided by the key mechanism while the trim is locked from the egress side. The pushbar assembly is operable to always provide egress.

SLIDE LOCK

Door locking apparatus, systems, assemblies, kits and methods are shown and described. In one example, a lock assembly may include a hosing, a locking blade, and a handle. The door locking apparatus may align with a door frame assembly including a door panel, to secure the door in a locked position. In some examples, the locking blade is adapted to slidably overlap at least a portion of a non-hinged edge of a door panel to resist opening of the door panel.

A bolt assembly for securing a passive door panel relative to an entryway frame. The bolt assembly has a base to be fixedly mounted relative to the passive door panel, a catch attached to the base with a leaf spring to deflect relative to the base, and a bolt which is able to translate relative to the base between a retracted position and an extended position for securing the passive door panel. The bolt is biased toward the extended position and selectively maintained in the retracted position by the catch.

A bolt assembly for securing a passive door panel relative to an entryway frame. The bolt assembly comprises an anchoring base fixed relative to the passive door panel. The base has at least one column of spaced apart teeth extending from a side there. The column of spaced apart teeth provides notches between the teeth and adjacent to at least one end of the at least one column. The bolt assembly also has a bolt to slide relative to the base between at least a first position and a second position. The bolt includes a slide having a finger for mating into at least one of the notches in the first position and the second position. The bolt also has a pin attached to the slide for movement therewith. The pin is able to engage the entryway frame when the bolt is in the second position.
