A door-equipped housing includes a box body having an opening formed on one side thereof, and a door to close the opening, the door being supported by the box body to be rotatable about a rotational axis. The box body has a projecting portion formed on an inside of a wall of the box body extending from the opening toward a deep side of the box body. The door includes a hook portion to engage the projected portion for preventing the door from opening, the hook portion being located on a deeper side of the box body than the projecting portion as the door closes the opening, and a flexible part extending in a direction away from a surface of the wall having the projected portion formed thereon as the door closes the opening. The flexible part bends together with a movement of the hook portion to climb over the projecting portion during an opening/closing operation of the door.

A gravity gate latch that is sized and configured to be positioned in the gap between the free end of a gate and a stationary object when the end of the gate is adjacent the stationary object to automatically engage a strike member on the gate. The gate latch has a pair of side plates that are spaced apart to define a space that encloses a lever actuating mechanism and a hook plate. The hook plate has a hook member that engages the strike member of the gate. The lever actuating mechanism has a pair of lever arms, which can be accessed from either side of the gate, that move the hook plate upward to disengage the strike member. A lock receiving member at the bottom of the gate latch receives a padlock to lock the gate latch. The padlock can also be accessed from either side of the gate.

The secondary lock wing part 15, 27 can be pivotally arranged on the wing part 13, 22. The second direction is approximately orthogonal to the first direction.

The vehicle hood latch includes a housing; a ratchet pivotally mounted on the housing; a pawl pivotally mounted on the housing and biased into engagement with the ratchet; a pin fixed for conjoint movement with the pawl; a double pull lever operably mounted to the housing and having an abutment surface configured for operable engagement with the pin, and a primary safety catch lever operably mounted to the housing. The primary safety catch lever is configured to pivot from a locked first position to an unlocked second position. The primary safety catch lever moves from the first locked position to the second unlocked position in response to translational movement of the double pull lever caused by engagement of the pin with the abutment surface of the double pull lever.

The first opening and the second opening are adjacent and are configured at an interval from each other so as to form a frame between the first opening and the second opening. The first and second seat plates are disposed in a protruding manner on side edges of the first and second cover plates, and are fixedly connected to the frame. A first dampening device is disposed adjacent to the latchbolt link, with the dampening device resiliently engaging the latchbolt link as the latchbolt link moves from the retracted position to the extended position. The first dampening device limits movement of the latchbolt link. A second dampening device is configured to restrain movement of the latchbolt during movement from the retracted position to the extended position.
