A hinge assembly for a door, the hinge assembly including a hinge pin arranged to be fixed to the door at one end and having a pin connector part at an opposite second end. A rotation damper connected to a damper connector part arranged to cooperate with the pin connector part for transferring torque around an axis of rotation between the damper connector part and the pin connector part throughout an opening angle of the door, such that a rotational movement of the damper connector part about the axis of rotation in at least a first rotational direction is dampened by the rotation damper. The pin connector part and the damper connection part allow an initial closing angle of rotation of the door before the damper acts on the rotation of the hinge pin, the initial closing angle being at least 2?.

Floodgate

A floodgate is disclosed. The floodgate comprises: a panel for installation at a doorway to form a barrier against flooding; a hinge, the panel being movable between an opened position and a closed position about an axis of the hinge, the axis extending in use in an upright direction; and a sealing element coupled to an edge of the panel to provide sealing engagement with the ground when the panel is in the closed position thereby forming the barrier against flooding; wherein the hinge is configured to corporate with the panel to, upon the panel being moved from the closed position towards the opened position, cause the panel to move away from the ground thereby releasing the sealing engagement between the sealing element and the ground.

A pair of adjustment grub screws at the slot promotes the joined rotation of the longitudinal projections and the pin. The hinge body further includes a seat, for the mutual movement of the pin and of the hinge body, with a damping system interacting by friction with the pin to differentially dampen the rotation of the pin and the hinge body. The hinge device may be fixed to the closing element with a pair of clamping elements.

A folding hanger includes a hook extending from an upper end of a hinge pin for suspending the pin. First and second hanger arms each have proximal and distal ends and define a support surface therebetween. Each proximal end has a stop. A knuckle having a hole extends from each proximal end. The pin passes through the holes along an axis, coupling the arms and hook whereby the arms are movable between extended and folded configurations. The stops abut when the arms are extended, and are separated when folded. The hanger has a center of gravity when the arms are extended and suspended by the hook such that the axis is angled relative to vertical in a first direction and the stops bias abutting. The arms each have a center of gravity such that angular movement of the axis past an unstable equilibrium causes the arms to move toward folded.
