Disclosed is a washing machine having a cabinet forming an outer appearance and having an inlet port formed at the front, a tub provided inside the cabinet for storing wash water, a drum provided inside the tub to be rotatable, and a door installed in the cabinet for opening and closing the inlet port. The door is provided with an auxiliary door which can be freely opened and closed during the washing process independently of the door, so that laundry can be added even during the washing process.

A hollow hinge includes a first hollow component, a second hollow component and a plurality of support assemblies. The first hollow component has a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface, and a plurality of concave portions are disposed on the second surface. The second hollow component is disposed on the second surface of the first hollow component and a plurality of receiving portions corresponding to the concave portions are disposed on the second hollow component. The support assemblies are respectively contained in the receiving portions and continuously butt against the first hollow component through a force. The hollow hinge avoids friction between components and strengthens support, thereby prolonging durability and improving assembly and production yield rate.

Hinge assembly for mobile computing device

A hinged mobile computing device includes a first housing part and a second housing part coupled by a hinge assembly having a harness, a harness cover, a first hinge body, and a second hinge body. The harness is configured to accommodate flexible printed circuitry and a cable that extend from the first housing part to the second housing part via the hinge assembly. The hinge bodies include respective friction bands, each friction band being configured to engage a respective shaft formed on the harness and having a gear configured to mesh with a respective cog arranged within the harness cover to coordinate a timing of the rotation of the first and second housing parts between face-to-face and back-to-back orientations. The hinge assembly further includes a spring-loaded opening mechanism.

A door assembly includes a door slab, an electronic component embedded in the door slab, and electric wiring connected to the electronic component. The door slab includes a frame defining a cavity, a core disposed within the cavity, a front door skin disposed along a front side of the frame, and a rear door skin disposed along a rear side of the frame. The front door skin and the rear door skin enclose the core within the cavity. The frame has a hinged edge configured to be pivotally coupled to a door jamb. The electric wiring is connected to the electronic component and routed through the door slab to the hinged edge to facilitate electrically coupling the electronic component to an external power source.

ELECTRONIC DOOR SYSTEM

A door system includes a door jamb, a door panel, a window disposed in the door panel, a plurality of electronic components, a hinge pivotally coupling an edge of the door panel to the door jamb, and a control system disposed within the door panel. The plurality of electronic components include an electronic locking mechanism coupled to the door panel, a camera coupled to the door panel, a sensor configured to facilitate detecting at least one of sound or activity proximate the door panel, and a backup battery disposed in at least one of the door jamb or the door panel. The edge of the door panel is configured to receive power from an external power source to power the plurality of electronic components. The backup battery is configured to power at least one of the plurality of electronic components in an event of power loss from the external power source.

An eyewear device provides for routing a flexible conductive element or conductor through a hollow interior of a hinge mechanism that connects a temple of the eyewear device to its lens-supporting frame. The conductor establishes an electrically conductive connection between electronic components housed in the frame and the temple respectively.
