Household appliance comprising a balancing system
The present invention relates to a balancing system (50) that exerts force with different values to a door during the opening-closing stages and the household appliance (100) wherein the same is used. The different force values during opening/closing are obtained by the cable (3) in the balancing system (50) rubbing against the sections (9, 10) of the first spool (5)z with different physical properties.
Fenestration unit with sash retention
A fenestration unit, such as a window, having an upper sash and a lower sash can be configured to permit separate and independent movement of the upper sash and the lower sash when desired, while restraining the upper sash from movement caused by movement of the lower sash. A fenestration unit having a single movable sash can also be configured to provide securement of the single movable sash against undesired vertical movement.
SIDE-LOAD HUNG WINDOW ASSEMBLY WITH SASH GUIDES
A side-load, hung window assembly can include a sash guide attached to the window sash and extending into a space between the window sash and the jamb channel. The sash guide can include a recess at an outer end to provide clearance for the sash guide to pass over the uncurled end portion of the curl spring and the mounting device. In addition, an aesthetic cover can be disposed over the mounting device. Alternatively or in addition, a spring cover can be disposed over the uncurled end portion of the curl spring and the mounting device.
Side-Load, Constant Force Window And Window Balance Assembly
A constant force window balance assembly for a side-load, hung window is disclosed. A side rail of a window sash disposed in a jamb channel has a first opening. The balance assembly is installed in the jamb channel and engages the sash at the first opening to support the sash with a counterbalance force. A carrier of the balance assembly includes a body having a sash engaging seat located at an upper end that directly engages the first opening in the side wall of the side rail of the window sash. The carrier can also include a lip located at an inner side of the carrier and extending upwardly from the sash engaging seat. The carrier can also include a projection at an upper end of the body to engage a retaining aperture in an uncurled end portion of a curl spring in a pre-installed configuration of the window balance.
Window sash counterbalance with independently operable sashes
A window, with a hybrid sash counterbalance and assist mechanism, includes a frame having upper and lower sashes slidable within the frame. A sash coupling element extends between the upper and lower sashes. The hybrid sash counterbalance and assist mechanism is coupled with the sash coupling element. The window with the hybrid sash counterbalance and assist mechanism is operable in a sash counterbalance mode and in an independent sash movement mode. In the sash counterbalance mode, movement of the upper or lower sash causes converse movement of the lower or upper sash through the sash coupling element. In the independent sash movement mode, one of the upper and lower sashes is held static while the other of the lower or upper sashes is moved.
Anchor system for a bracket of a movable barrier
An anchor system for securing a lift cable to a bracket of a movable barrier is provided. The anchor system may include a clevis pin sized to be received in a loop of a lift cable of an upward-moving moveable barrier. In some aspects, the clevis pin may include a first interface portion. The anchor system may also include a lock having a longitudinally extending main body having a second interface portion. The second interface portion may be configured to interface with the first interface portion to prevent axial removal of the clevis pin from the loop of the lift cable.
DEVICE FOR A FRAMELESS VEHICLE DOOR
A device for a frameless vehicle door includes a counter bearing, a guide rail mounted thereon for a window regulator, and an adjusting device for inclining the guide rail along an adjusting direction oriented obliquely to the counter bearing. The adjusting device can be actuated by a tool. An access direction of the tool is oriented obliquely to the adjusting direction. The adjusting device has at least two adjusting components that can be moved relative to one another, namely, a threaded bolt oriented along the adjusting direction and at least one threaded nut screwed thereon. One of the adjusting components is fixed to the guide rail or the counter bearing for conjoint rotation, and the other is rotatably mounted. The rotatably mounted adjusting component has a drive contour and can be driven by to axially adjust the adjusting components with respect to one another along the adjusting direction.
Loading dock automated trailer door systems
The present disclosure is directed generally to automated trailer door systems for use at vehicle loading docks. At least a portion of the trailer door system can be externally driven for opening and closing trailer doors at the loading dock. The automated trailer door system can include a counterbalance shaft that moves the trailer door between a closed position and an open position; and a drive unit having a torsion member operably coupled to the counterbalance shaft; and a drive member rotatably engaged with the torsion member, the drive member having an engagement portion accessible external to the trailer door. Rotation of the drive member via the engagement portion can rotate the torsion member to move the trailer door between the closed and open positions. A door winder can be coupled to a centering body and have a motor to rotate the drive member via the engagement portion.
