The entrapment determination unit performs the determination at shorter time intervals when a remote operation switch that is separated from the vehicle is operated to close the opening-closing member than when a vehicle operation switch that is arranged in the vehicle is operated to close the opening-closing member.

A movable window apparatus is disclosed. The movable window apparatus may comprise a window panel, a first electrical contact, and a second electrical contact. The window panel is operable between an opened position and a closed position. The first electrical contact is coupled to the window panel. The second electrical contact is coupled to the vehicle. Further, the first electrical contact is operable to engage the second electrical contact when the window panel is in a first position and disengage the second electrical contact when the window panel is out of the first position. Engagement of the second electrical contact by the first electrical contact forms a conductive connection. This conductive connection has the advantage of being engageable and dis-engageable. Accordingly, the movable window apparatus enables a conductive connection with a window panel without inhibiting the movement of the window panel between two or more positions.

A vehicle window has two individual panes that are bonded by an adhesive layer. A window support has a connection segment, forming a holder, for mechanically connecting to the vehicle window. An electrical contact element that is partially arranged within the holder is fastened to the window support. The electrical contact element, which has the form of a ribbon conductor, serves to electrically contact an electrical counter contact element of the vehicle window. According to one aspect, the electrical contact element is routed, from between the two individual panes, out of the vehicle window, and is fastened to a surface of the vehicle window.

A holder main body 18 is an integrally molded product comprising an inner layer portion 26 and an outer layer portion 28. The inner layer portion 26 is constructed to be U-shaped in cross section to clamp a part of a lower edge 12B of a window glass 12 in the thickness direction of the lower edge 12B. Further, the outer layer portion 28 is located outside the inner layer portion 26, is made of a material harder than the inner layer portion 26 and is constructed to be U-shaped in cross section. This outer layer portion 28 is provided with a connecting portion 16. This connection portion 16 is projecting in a direction departing form the lower edge 12B of the window glass 12.
