An automatic disengaging linkage system including a housing operably connectable to a garage door trolley and a garage door arm. The housing can define a main bore configured to receive a portion of the garage door arm. A ball can be receivable in a ball bore defined in the housing. A biasing member can be configured to force the ball in engagement with the garage door arm or an arm pin associated with the garage door arm. The ball or the biasing member can be configured to disengage with the garage door arm with the housing when a predetermined pulling force is applied to the housing. The garage door arm can automatically be disengaged with the housing upon encounter a sufficient pulling force that retracts the ball into its ball bore thereby allowing the garage door arm to move freely out from the main bore.

A vehicular access system includes a sensing panel at a door of a vehicle including a panel, at least one capacitive touch sensor for sensing proximity of a user at a touch sensing region of the panel, and a radar sensor sensing exterior of the vehicle. An electronic control unit (ECU) includes a data processor for processing sensor data captured by the radar sensor to detect presence of objects exterior of the vehicle. At least one indicator visually indicates status of the system. Responsive to receiving an open door command, (i) the at least one indicator illuminates and (ii) the system determines, using the sensor data, whether a detected object is within a swing path of the door. The system, responsive to determining that no object is within the swing path of the door, opens the door.

OPENING-CLOSING MEMBER CONTROL DEVICE AND INITIALIZATION METHOD

An opening-closing member controller includes a control unit that executes an initialization process to store at least a fully closed position of an opening-closing member. In the initialization process, the control unit closes the opening-closing member, executes entrapment reversing control one or more times when entrapment is detected to open the opening-closing member, and closes the opening-closing member after the entrapment reversing control to store a position where the opening-closing member locks as the fully closed position.

OPENING-CLOSING MEMBER CONTROL DEVICE AND INITIALIZATION METHOD

An opening-closing member controller includes a control unit that executes an initialization process to store at least a fully closed position of an opening-closing member. In the initialization process, the control unit closes the opening-closing member, executes entrapment reversing control one or more times when entrapment is detected to open the opening-closing member, and closes the opening-closing member after the entrapment reversing control to store a position where the opening-closing member locks as the fully closed position.

Anti-pinch motor control

A motor control system configured to detect a pinch condition of a structure actuated by a motor includes a pinch detection module configured to receive a current signal indicative of a motor current, determine a rate of change of current based on the current signal, and generate a pinch signal indicative of the pinch condition in response to either one of the motor current being greater than a current threshold and the rate of change of current being greater than a rate of change threshold. The motor control system further includes a position control module configured to control the motor to actuate the structure in response to an input and at least one of stop and reverse the motor in response to the pinch signal.

Anti-pinch motor control

A motor control system configured to detect a pinch condition of a structure actuated by a motor includes a pinch detection module configured to receive a current signal indicative of a motor current, determine a rate of change of current based on the current signal, and generate a pinch signal indicative of the pinch condition in response to either one of the motor current being greater than a current threshold and the rate of change of current being greater than a rate of change threshold. The motor control system further includes a position control module configured to control the motor to actuate the structure in response to an input and at least one of stop and reverse the motor in response to the pinch signal.
