Methods of manufacturing an immunogenic composition comprising a recombinant protein
The present invention relates to a porcine parvovirus and porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus vaccine for protecting a subject, preferably swine, against diseases associated with porcine parvovirus and porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus. The present invention further relates to methods of producing immunogenic compositions as well as such immunogenic compositions exhibiting reduced virucidal activity.
Parvovirus formulation for treating tumors
Described is a parvovirus formulation which comprises (a) at least 1×10.sup.9 pfu/ml of parvovirus H1 (H-1PV) or a related rodent parvovirus such as LuIII, Mouse minute virus (MMV), Mouse parvovirus (MPV), Rat minute virus (RMV), Rat parvovirus or Rat virus (RV) and (b) a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier containing 40-50% Iodixanol (w/v), 0.7-0.9 mmol CaCl.sub.2×2 H.sub.2O, 50-60 mmol NaCl, 0.9-1.2 mmol KCl, 0.7-0.95 mg/ml Tromethamine and 0.05-0.15 mg/ml Edetate calcium disodium. A preferred use is the therapy of a brain tumour by intratumoral injection.
Viral vector stabilization
Combining viral vector with surfactant preserves vector infectivity, and surfactant provided an unexpected benefit by protecting viral vector from damage due to transient elevated temperature.
TRIPLE LIVE VACCINE OF CANINE DISTEMPER VIRUS, CANINE PARVOVIRUS AND CANINE INFECTIOUS HEPATITIS VIRUS
The present invention discloses a combination of vaccine strains for treating, preventing, relieving or controlling Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus Enteritis and Canine Infectious Hepatitis, comprising: Canine Distemper virus vaccine strain with the microorganism deposition accession number CGMCC No. 19397, Canine Parvovirus vaccine strain with the microorganism deposition accession number CGMCC No. 19398 and Canine Infectious Hepatitis virus vaccine strain with the microorganism deposition accession number CGMCC No. 19396. The three vaccine strains of the combination of vaccine strains are low in toxicity and good in immunogenicity. The present invention further discloses a live vaccine composition using the above-mentioned combination of vaccine strains as immunogen. The vaccine composition is safe and effective.

Treatments for retinal disease
Provided herein are variant adeno-associated virus (AAV) capsid proteins having one or more modifications in amino acid sequence relative to a parental AAV capsid protein, which, when present in an AAV virion, confer increased infectivity of one or more types of retinal cells as compared to the infectivity of the retinal cells by an AAV virion comprising the unmodified parental AAV capsid protein. Also provided are recombinant AAV virions and pharmaceutical compositions thereof comprising a variant AAV capsid protein as described herein, methods of making these rAAV capsid proteins and virions, and methods for using these rAAV capsid proteins and virions in research and clinical practice, for example in, e.g., the delivery of nucleic acid sequences to one or more cells of the retina for the treatment of retinal disorders and diseases.
RECOMBINANT PORCINE PARVOVIRUS ANTIGENIC PROTEIN AND USE THEREOF
The present invention provides: a recombinant expression vector comprising a gene encoding a porcine parvovirus VP2 protein; a recombinant plant or a recombinant insect cell transformed with the vector; and a vaccine composition for a porcine parvovirus and a composition for diagnosing porcine parvovirus, both of which contain a porcine parvovirus VP2 protein obtained from the recombinant plant or the recombinant insect cell. When the recombinant plant or recombinant insect cell of the present invention is used, the porcine parvovirus antigenic protein can be produced with high efficiency, and the porcine parvovirus antigenic protein production method using the recombinant plant or recombinant insect cell has excellent safety and stability compared with other antigen production methods.
