Automatic Control of a Movable Barrier
In one aspect, an in-vehicle computing device is provided for controlling operation of a movable barrier operator. The in-vehicle computing device includes a sensor configured to detect a vehicle characteristic and communication circuitry operable to cause automatic operation of the movable barrier operator by communicating with the movable barrier operator. The in-vehicle device further includes a processor operatively coupled to the communication circuitry, the sensor, and the memory. The processor configured to determine satisfaction of a user account condition and, upon the user account condition not being satisfied, to inhibit the communication circuitry from initiating automatic operation of the movable barrier operator.
LOW-COST COMPUTERIZED KIOSKS FOR REMOTE COLLECTION OF ELECTRONIC DEVICES FOR VALUE
An example kiosk for accepting a portable electronic device from a client in exchange for payment, associated method and systems are described. The kiosk may include at least one display, an imaging chamber that includes at least one camera and one or more mirrors fixedly-arranged to capture images of a portable electronic device, at least one communication connection to a remote server and/or operator, and at least one computer. The computer may be configured to, in conjunction with the remote server and/or operator, capture one or more images of the portable electronic device in the imaging chamber while said at least one camera and said mirrors remain in unchanged positions. The computer may also transmit the captured images to the remote server and/or operator, receive an acceptance of the offered payment amount based upon an offered payment amount for the portable electronic device received from the remote server and/or operator, and provide for secure deposit of the portable device in the kiosk.
System and Method to Remotely Operate a Door
A system and method to remotely operate a door, the method including: transmitting a door's proximity to a mobile device; receiving, by the mobile device, identifying information from a remote intermediary processing server; receiving, from a user, a command to operate the door; and transmitting the command to operate the door.

DOOR CONTROL SYSTEM
A door control system is provided. The control system includes a controller configured to control a door via a motor. The motor is powered by a battery and bypasses the controller via relays and/or switches when power to the controller is disconnected.
Automatic garage door control
A method, apparatus and system is disclosed for automatically opening and closing a garage door without user intervention. A vehicle-mounted mobile transmitter autonomously and continuously transmits a repeating signal pattern when power is applied to the transmitter as a vehicle is started by a user. A movable barrier gateway device receives the signals from the mobile transmitter and compares an identification code contained in each of the signals to an identification code stored in memory. When a match is found, the movable barrier gateway device sends a signal to a movable barrier controller to open the garage door, and keep the door open as long as the movable barrier gateway continues to receive the signals from the mobile transmitter.
Edge sensor for movable barrier
A system may include a first module and a second module. The first module may include a first transceiver, the first module configured to transmit a request using the first transceiver. The second module may include an input connection for an obstruction sensor and a second transceiver configured to receive a request from the first transceiver. The second module may be configured to receive sensor information from the obstruction sensor and send a response to the first module based on the sensor information.
Method for the commissioning of a door or window closer
In a method for the commissioning of a door or window closer which comprises an energy accumulator, a damping device with an electric motor being operable as a generator and a transmission element, the leaf is opened and/or closed at least once in a teach-in process, the angular position of the motor shaft is detected during opening and/or closing, a functional relationship is determined between the angular position of the motor shaft and an angular position of the rotatable leaf at least over an area of the opening width of the leaf and the functional connection is automatically taken as a basis for a subsequent actuation of the electric motor for the damping of the closing movement of the leaf.
Remote transmission of barrier status and change of status over a network
An Internet based system for remotely monitoring and changing the open/closed door status of a garage door. A position detector is coupled to the door. Two position detectors, preferably substantially orthogonal with respect to one another, determine the barrier status. A wireless transmitter transmits the barrier status to a multi-functional control module. The control module also receives a change of status command from the Internet Cloud to move one or more doors in accordance with the command. Multiple relays paired with the doors allow the control module to control a plurality of doors.
Door mounted vehicle seat
A vehicle includes a body and a door moveable relative to the body between the open and closed position. The vehicle includes a seat fixed relative to the door. The seat includes a seat back and a seat bottom. The body has a longitudinal axis, and the seat bottom extends from the seat back toward the longitudinal axis along a cross-vehicle direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis when the door is in the closed position.
