A hinge for assembling a door on a piece of furniture comprises a first hinge element fastenable to a fixed part of the piece of furniture, a second hinge element fixable to a door of the piece of furniture and swingably connected to the first hinge element, and at least one spring element for generating a force in the opening direction for the door at least near the closing position of the door; the at least one spring opening element is housed in an opening device disposed in or on one of the first and second hinge elements, wherein the opening device is conformed and arranged for exerting said opening force directly or indirectly on the other of said first and second hinge elements.

Oven Door Assembly with Adjustable Center of Gravity
A door assembly for providing selective access to a chamber of an appliance includes adjustable balancing masses mounted to the door assembly to enable adjustment of the door assembly's center of gravity. Specifically, the door assembly includes one or more spring hinges attaching the door assembly to the appliance cabinet. Balancing mass are positioned on a mounting apparatus attached to the frame of the door assembly. To achieve an appropriate balance between the gravitational moment of the door assembly and the torsional stiffness of the spring hinges, the balancing masses may be adjusted on the mounting apparatus, thereby altering the center of gravity and gravitational moment generated by the door assembly to a predetermined amount appropriate for a given torsional stiffness of the spring hinge.
DOOR CLOSER DIAGNOSTICS SYSTEM
A method and apparatus relating to generating, by at least one motion sensor of a data acquisition device that is mounted to a door having a door closer, motion data indicative of motion as the door is moved from an open position to a closed position, generating, by at least one load cell of the data acquisition device, load data as the door is being opened, analyzing the motion data and load data by a central processing device, determining at least one adjustment to the door closer based on at least one of a duration the door was in each of a plurality of door movement zones, as determined using the motion data, and a force applied to open the door, as determined using the load data, and displaying at least one installation instruction corresponding with the at least one adjustment on a graphical user interface of the central processing device.
Counter-Balanced Lift System
An adjustable length counterbalance mechanism for lift doors, frequently used for cargo trailers and garages. The adjustable length torque shaft of the counterbalance mechanism is able to accommodate many different lift door widths and is simpler to install than a fixed length torque shaft. In embodiments, the adjustable torque shaft is comprised of two outer torque shafts, each with a torsion spring and cable drum and a middle torque shaft that can be assembled together. The middle torque shaft can be inserted into each of the outer torque shafts to a selected depth to determine the length of the adjustable torque shaft.

The proximal frame post is hingedly coupled to the cooling package, and the distal frame post can be hingedly coupled to a secondary door. Proximal end of torsion bar is fixedly attached to proximal frame post, and distal end is moveable relative to the distal frame post. Stationary support is fixedly attached to distal frame post. Torsion bracket is fixedly attached to distal end of torsion bar, and is moveable relative to stationary support. Fastener maintains torsion bracket in a desired position relative to stationary support. Movement of torsion bracket relative to stationary support applies an adjustable torsion on torsion bar, and fastener maintains the adjustable torsion. An adjustment member can be attached to fastener between torsion bracket and stationary support.

A vehicle door handle assembly incorporating a dual sided adjustable male fastener. The dual sided adjustable male fastener is adapted to be installed to an initial predefined preliminary position from the inside of the structure and then adjusted from the exterior at the point of final assembly to establish a flush orientation of the handle relative to surrounding components.

A furniture fitting for moving a furniture part movably supported relative to a furniture carcass includes a first fitting portion to be fixed to a furniture carcass, and a second fitting portion to be fixed to a movable furniture part. The second fitting portion is pivotally connected to the first fitting portion, and a limiting device limits an opening angle of a relative pivoting movement of the first and second fitting portion. The limiting device includes at least one movably mounted actuating element, and the opening angle can be adjusted by a manual or by a tool-assisted actuation of the actuating element.
